If Orlando could flip Gordon and Fournier for Lonzo Ball and Lauri Markkanen, I would be happy. I am sure there assets need to be in that. But as a concept, it serves a number of Magic needs.

the problem with that is both players are looking to get paid this summer. In theory, they could both work well here skill-wise; but we'd just be paying tax for the unknown.

So now supposedly AG doesn’t want a trade. This is exactly what we need, motivation for our FO to do nothing again.

normal to have doubts when close to leaving home. Front office won't/shouldn't let this linger. clean break now; especially if your asking price is met.

Lowe just suggested Jayden Mccdaniels as a player we would love to get back in an AG trade. I have to admit he seems somewhat interesting.

Thank you for that rumor. Falls in line with my biggest hopes for AG.

I don't think that MIN would do that. I proposed a similar trade on the T/T forum which included Cole Anthony and getting back scraps instead of Rubio and even that was hard fought.

That's infinitely more desirable then most of the trades I've seen proposed. I've been digging into Mcdaniels a bit && he is actually really intriguing.

Super switchy, long (6'11 wingspan), athletic forward who has an interesting stretch game offensively and is on the first year of his rookie contract.

This is the exact type of player I'd be targeting in an AG trade.

Minny Athletic guy on the deadline & Aaron Gordon as of this morning

"It would likely take Beasley and more to get him, and that appears unlikely at the moment."

"The Wolves have been getting a lot of calls on Beasley and rookie Jaden McDaniels, sources said, but there is a reluctance to part with two promising young players with value across the league. Beasley will return to the team from a 12-game suspension on Friday, giving the Wolves a knockdown 3-point shooter that they have sorely missed. Among the reasons to move Beasley now would be if they have concerns about the off-the-court behavior that earned him the suspension. To this point, the Wolves have been in Beasley’s corner and pledged to help him through his issues."

People calling for McDaniels across the league.... gah. Still wish we drafted him ahead of Cole.

Yeah, I mean that thread doesn't mean much to me. The trade board is primarily just homers overvaluing their own players, which is exactly what that thread looks like. I've seen our own posters go over there and do the same.

Minnesota is on the clock with Towns. I'd imagine AG would be a desirable piece to them, especially over a rookie in McDaniels who isn't going to do much as a 20-year-old project of sorts in terms of impacting the short term. I think that's why there has been a lot of reported interest from the Wolves. They have to recognize that.

I said the same... didn't care if they liked it or not... was more interested in the trade value and that seemed about right. Getting Rubio seems more unlikely. Nowell has a lot of value too.
