Only way this works is if the Lakers gut what little depth they have. Schroder and Harell would almost certainly have to be included. Is Lowry even that much of an upgrade over Schroder at this point in his career?

I think this is one of the most active deadlines in terms of the number of guys being shopped/discussed. Doesn't necessarily mean there are going to be a bunch of trades. I feel a lot of teams are overvaluing their young guys.

Sadly I think this trade deadline is going to be a bust. A lot of chatter but I don’t see a lot of trades. I mean Drummond is going to get bought out for Christ’s sake

He is but i don't think he's worth both players. Healthy Lakers are still western conference favourites, they don't need to make a move like this.

The biggest reason it’s going to be a bust is the play-in games. It has limited the number of sellers because so many additional teams can talk themselves into the playoffs.

Well Schroder really isn’t that good. He’s a terrible shooter this season (and pretty much every season except 2019-20) so he struggles to be effective without the ball in his hands. He’s at best, a middling defender. So yes, Lowry is a much better player and would be a much better complement to Bron/AD with his spacing, playmaking and smarts.

Harrell would be a big loss for the Lakers however. His energy and efficiency are both underrated.

Considering how hard it'll be for the Lakers to put together enough salary to stay under the hard cap, this smells like the Raptors' desperate attempt to inflate the price for Miami or Philly.

The Play-in looks like it will do what the NBA wanted, more teams are going to try and compete for a chance at the playoffs (and associated revenue). Unfortunately it means a bunch of teams that need to blow it up will continue to drag the chain on the end of the treadmill (looking at you Orlando).
