Of course if the info about his family being in BKN is true that matters and after spending like 5 years in LA he probably has a home or ties there too. So I get that, I just meant a lot of the traditional things that give the prime locations preference are minimized now and winter is over.

Agreed that coming to Milwaukee with winter over and the playoffs coming up quick would be more enticing than otherwise.

For that matter, Redick could approach it as an opportunity to burnish his reputation for going to a contender in a non-glamour market, and take the extra minutes / easier shots / defensive backstop to try and earn a better deal for next year wherever he wants.

Not sure if he takes it though. He could prefer to ring chase in Brooklyn or the like even if he wouldn't really contribute that much.

If the Pacers decide to blow it up that certainly makes the deadline more interesting.

I don't think Indiana would trade Brogdon (much less Sabonis) in a meh for meh deal.

But who knows! The Pacers aren't a team with a history of tanking to rebuild, so what they'd be looking for in return for these kind of assets might not be the same as other teams.

With the trade deadline two days away, here’s a compilation of news from around the league from sources to Yahoo Sports.

Pacers listening to pitches on Brogdon, monitoring Sabonis
Multiple teams are saying the Indiana Pacers are listening to pitches on Malcolm Brogdon and are monitoring Domantas Sabonis as well. On Brogdon, the belief is the Pacers feel Caris LeVert can man the point guard adequately enough should they get a real deal for Brogdon, who’s in the second year of a four-year, $85 million contract. The Clippers have been scouring the league for more point guard help, so add his name to the list with Lonzo Ball, Terry Rozier, Ricky Rubio and George Hill.

Another Pacers guard possibly on the move
Pacers young guard Aaron Holiday seems to have fallen out of favor, and the franchise is looking for a first-round pick in return.

How about Philly if they can't get Lowry?

jrue vs brogdon couldnt be a better playoff matchup for us in the entire league

Maybe so, but then Jrue's not guarding Simmons or Harris.

if brogdon comes to philly in his old off the ball shooter role thats even better for us imo. i guess that would mean matchups with ddv and patc. and i just dont see him being an x factor advantage against those two either. if somebody said i could trade ddv for brogdon and they both made the same money id be torn. ddv seems like a bigger xfactor. thats not to mention if the competition gives up depth and assets and hes out then goddam.

basically im not worried about brogdon going to any of our comp. just the opposite id encourage it i think

Nets v Jazz looks good tonight.

*looks at injury report*

Oh nevermind, Griffin, Durant, Harden, Irving, Dinwiddie, Shamet are all out.

Checked out the Raptors board, surprised they are so spooked about potentially acquiring Herro, who is having a horrific year apparently.

I'm telling you, the bubble helped Miami more than any other team out there. It was close to home and they had some super inexperienced players that can shoot lights out in a gym. Sure, it helped everyone some, but I don't think it was level across the board.

Torrie Craig had 10 points in 21 minutes for the Suns last night. Why didn’t he fit in here? He played significant minutes during the Nuggets playoff run last year too. Hard to see why a 3&D guy didn’t work out for us.

It’s gonna be depressing if Kabengele is the only trade deadline move. Surely something has to happen.

Gordon and Fournier are both in the starting lineup for Orlando. Hambone playing with fire not holding them out.

Normally everyone is looking for shooters, but with players getting a boost from no crowds, the usual veteran shooter trades might not happen.

I think both are great cities honestly, though I've spent far more time in Philly than Milwaukee.

That's my exact take on Chicago

I find that’s the case with almost all cities honestly lol. You can always find good people if you look hard enough though. Idk where exactly I’d rank Philly but it’s up there with my favorite American cities.

Gonna need Utah to hang onto this v. Brooklyn tonight. They've got a long string of underwhelming opponents coming up.

Do not see any assets the Lakers have to give up.
