If we can get Myles Turner for Norman Powell, pull the trigger. Please. No idea why Indiana seems so open to trading good players, but I'm happy if the Raptors can make their dreams come true.

IT says free agency which is pretty hard for Indiana to outbid the field in considering their salaries already. So uh yeah....

Could the Pacers and Hornets be the sleeper teams to round out a Lowry to Lakers trade:

Schroder to the Pacers
Lowry and Justin Holiday to the Lakers
Montrez Harrell to Charlotte
KCP, Doug McDermott (flipped to a contender for 2 2nds), IND's 2021 1st Rd Pick, and something from Charlotte for Harrell (i'm hesitant to put in a FRP unless it's heavily protected).

Will be interesting to see if any players rumored to be on the market have "rest/load management" games off tonight.

Indy paying Doug, Holiday, and a 1st feels like 2 things too many at least for Schroder.

Would be funny is a big name player not involved in trade rumors randomly decided to sit out tonight's game for rest/load management. It's something that Popovich would do as a joke.

I feel like once two teams break the ice and commits to a move, it will jumpstart a lot of movement. Right now, everyone can still be patient, but once things are happening live and quick, you need to bring the best offer or risk missing out so I think once the first notable trade happens tonight or tomorrow, it will be followed by a lot of quick activity right after.

My assumption is that it implies we would engage Toronto on a sign and trade after promising Powell a boatload of money. It doesn't seem like a reputable report whatsoever and was a single line in a NY Post article about the Knicks interest in Dipo and Powell though.

The Lakers paid Green and a 1st so I was trying to match value. Needed McDermott to make the math work, although it might work with McConnell Summer (having trade machine issues).

The problem I'm having is (a) finding the place and value to send Harrell and then (b) the Lakers making up the gap in value (although they get there with THT or the 2027 1st if needed).

Lonzo sat out yesterday, TT is in the protocol, Gay has a sore foot, on top of Oladipo.

Simons and Little both in the protocol for Portland

Maybe not but Lowry and Powell are the most logical additions the Lakers are chasing.

I tend to agree that it's not enough but it really depends on the other offers

Lakers are hard capped at the apron for their MLE signing or Harrell, and only $1.5m away from it. KCP, Harrell, and Schroeder combine to make $37.3m, and Lowry/Powell make almost $41.4m. LA would have to send out at least $40m. So, say they send out another $3m to meet that gap, now they won’t have enough space under the hard cap to fill the extra two roster spots they just opened up below the minimum. It gets tricky making it work.

But also, it hides the fact that Toronto would simply be giving up their chance at value and just taking whatever to simply help LA.

THT would be added I imagine for value and Matthews/Kuzma could sort out the financials.

It really just depends on what these other proposals from Miami and Philly are. I think this Lakers offer beats the Philly offer I've heard (Green, Scott, Thybulle). Do you know what Heat are likely offering? sounds like they don't want to offer Herro.

So now it’s a 6 for 2 and they need to fill 4 more roster spots. They’d have 10 under contract after that type of trade.

Schroeder was coming off of a 6MOY season helped along by what now looks to be an outlier shooting performance. He's come back down to who he was efficiency wise. I cant see any team giving up a 1st for him
