Houston wins! Didn’t think that would happen for a few more. They played a good 4th qtr. best qtr in over 80 qtrs.

Christian Wood does not want to lose.

Holy crap the Raptors are a mess right now. John Wall was eight for THIRTY in that game. Ugliest triple double in a while.

Scottie Barnes has moved up to the top five imo. Long, althetic, motor, defense, handles, all the things that weaver likes. versitle. Taken over the spot of kuminga in the top 5 for me. The game against Michigan should tell alot. I'll be watching that game closely.

I just wish he had a offensive game, guy struggles with FTs but yeah he's kinda like a Draymond utility guy.

That doesn't sound like a superstar though. Remember, the 2021 pick has to turn out to be a superstar or Weaver will have screwed it up, because there are no other opportunities for getting a superstar in Detroit.

Barnes is in that 5-10 range though
He's a uber glue guy that in theory can accentuate the strengths of your legit #1 & #2 guys, very much like prime Draymond.
Assuming Grant is the #2 guy we don't yet have our #1 & don't have the means to acquire one this coming off-season if we don't get it with the 2021 first.

Holy hell Minny is below us and I don't think there's any way we hold off Houston. Orlando coming on like gangbusters, too.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Don't really care about Minny or Houston anymore, falling behind either of them would be a huge bonus and completely unexpected.
Cleveland and especially Orlando had huge wins tonight, Orlando beating Phoenix is a big bonus. Now 2.5 games clear of 4th, really important to stay in the bottom 3. I think the Wizards should remain clear of the Pistons unless the Pistons sweep them.

Houston and Minni having a ‘something’s gotta give’ game’ on Friday. My money’s on Minni, Edwards and KAT are hard to handle!

Even better is those 2 teams have a back to back with each other Friday and Saturday. It would be huge if Minny won both because at the same time we'll be playing Brooklyn and Washington. We could be in a virtual 3 way tie for the worst record by the end of the weekend.DNice68 wrote:Houston and Minni having a ‘something’s gotta give’ game’ on Friday. I think we'll be fifth and move up to number 2 or 3.

Orlando enters the Terrordome. Trading Vuc and Aminu for WCJ and OPJ and 2 FRP's.
Weaver = Hinkie
VW to Portland

Yeah. And you gotta figure Gordon is out too.
They won’t be winning many games.

Yikes. I was already worried about Orlando as is and now, I'd be shocked if the Pistons don't pass them. This was the mother of tank moves.
Interesting trade for Chicago. The LaVine/Vucevic combo is going to be tough to stop. Kind of odd seeing them give up 1sts after so many years of them in lottery contention.

They already were pretty awful so who knows maybe it sparks something in them.

Can’t imagine they intend to keep Markkenen and Vuc as a pair. I suspect a trade for him is coming too. We’ll see.
Be thankful the Magic won yesterday. It may be a while before they win again.

A great deal for Orlando to get off the treadmill.

Two picks from Chicago are better than three picks from Boston.
