I mean, who cares about this game? 2nd night of a back to back, in Utah, against the team with the best record in the league, without our top 3 players AND a key rotation player off the bench. We’re legit playing G-leaguers like Chiozza and Perry and Alize lmao.

Any complaints about rotations and depth doesn’t make sense to me. I’m purely using this game as a measuring stick for Claxton to see how he deals with a top center like Gobert...until halftime, at which point I likely move onto something more interesting and more worth my time honestly.

Like, what does this game say about ANYTHING at the end of the day? This is nowhere close to the rotation we’re gonna put out there in the playoffs. This is like a preseason game to me.

EDIT: Oh yeah, no Griffin either lol. So not even a chance of a random throwback game from a vet to make this competitive.

We got the best top 3 players including Joe a fourth but 5-15 is pretty weak.

These are all quality role players. But role players are role players for a reason.

They can't be expected to do this much.

Also were playing the team with the best record in the NBA on a back to back.

I wouldn't be worried at all.

I’m not worried about anything but a multi year championship run. These are not quality role players. These are guys who got moved up after a midsession trade took away starters all the while no Spencer or MLE used.
Yes TLC should never be in a position to carry the offense but ideally this a game that Joe/Spencer contract/MLE/DJ(because he has a real contract) should be carrying to compete, not win.

The defensive effort in this second quarter has actually been surprising.

IMO that made this Utah Game "house money" so to speak, so we can afford to try and win it without James (not impossible considering how well everyone else is playing, though obviously unlikely), but either way James gets the rest he desperately needs; tonight, tomorrow and then we'll see about Detroit.

The Bucks keep winning and we cant afford to fall behind. Theres never been a 3 seed in the Eastern conference that won NBA title in the following year(2004 Pistons were technically 2 seed due to the conference had 2 divisions back then). We have to fight for the top 2 spots to at least secure HCA for ECSF, otherwise we may as well just prepare for the off-season.

A 3 seed has never had Kyrie/KD/Harden on it

seeding doesnt matter. ESPECIALLY in a season with no fans/homecourt

No suprise the defense has been sooo much better with Clax on the floor. Perry has also been good as a 4.

Every team in the league looks awful if you remove their top 3 guys. no one is loaded with starters 5 through 15. were as deep as anyone

It's honestly hilarious how some folks are taking this game.

Harden getting a rest is a huge win for this team.

I care. I care about the others not just the stars. Stars mask a lot and when the Heat meet the Spurs it shows.

These same guys look great when Harden is on the floor with them.

When Harden, KD, Kyrie are out there, these ARE quality role players. But whatever, whining about not competing with an elite team while playing G-leaguers and with Jeff Green as our #1 option is classic Nets fan mentality.

Lol, one thing that’s clear is that Reggie Perry is still trash.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
