Schroeder can walk next year, so they wouldnt be getting any real assets back for a guy in Lowry that multiple contenders want. They arent going to ship him away for 0 return value just because.

They could do it as a favor to the player and his agent, especially if they aren’t expecting Kyle to stay next season.

It also helps the tank, and if they decide they don’t want Schroeder, they can sign and trade him for a few seconds.

Report: Celtics nearly acquired Aaron Gordon, thought deal was in place

League sources say the Celtics nearly landed Aaron Gordon at the 2020/21 trade deadline.

Those with inside knowledge of the deal say the deal fell apart at the last minute when Boston GM Danny Ainge didn’t want to part ways with 2 coupons for half price pizza from Papa Johns.

why does orlando continue to treadmill..smart doesnt fit the timeline of a rebuild with Fultz,Isaac, Anthony..

Gordon feels like the domino.

A lot of teams clinging on to him. If he doesn't move in the next 2 or 3 hours things could end up very quiet.

Not saying the Magic should trade with us, but I really don't understand why they've kept Fournier, Gordon and Vucevic for so long. If I were them after Isaac and Fultz went down, I'd trade all 3 and hope for a top 3 pick in this year's draft. Everybody knew they weren't winning a title or going to the Finals with AG/Vuc and Evan... Treadmill is the worst place to be in the NBA, imo, especially if it's that obvious you aren't going to the Finals.

MPJ showing more as PF, so mixing him and Gordon as SF PF on offense/defense would be something of value for Denver, upgrade from Millsap for sure.
Also, why would ORL want Harris? Let him sit the season, get him back to his old form on offense, and you have valuable piece to trade next year that is expiring.. You also get a pick and young player. If they want to make that trade bigger, they can always include Ross/Evan and Barton who can be moved to third team for bad contract and pick(s)
