If we get Drummond off waivers and maybe a defensive wing, we’ll be alright.
Our 3 point shooting was not very good last season in the regular season and we still won a ring.

The subtext of what the FO has been saying with the rumors about KCP and Kuz, and now Trez and Schroder, is that if we don't trade some of them now, we're going to have to let others walk in Free Agency due to the cap... Kuz is locked up for a few years, but if we keep him, we won't be able to sign AC and THT long term, along with extending Schroder... We don't need Trez if we get Drummond, so he'll walk for nothing if we don't move him between now and next deadline...

The reality is, if they aren't a legit part of our core, they need to go now, and apparently Kuz isn't... AC isn't going to take as much to sign long term, and I think they're betting on THT to be part of the core in a year or 2...

Good points but it's a trade off of sorts.
One can argue that our chances of winning this year are better if we keep this core group intact and add a piece here and there through the waiver wire or buyout market.
Given that LBJ is playing at a very high level now and has finite years to win championships (one or two, max 3), they may not want to tinker with this group and keep the depth.

If they are looking longer term, then it would make sense to trade some of these guys now.

My impression is that they want to win now more than they want to set the team up longer term.

I really like this present roster’s depth but I can’t imagine Harrell being completely contented with jus playing 26 min per game limiting him to score more points and collect more rebounds. Schroder is playing enough minutes but it bothered me that the extension talks have stopped, both are looking for a much bigger payday. GMs would of course hesitate to give up assets to acquire these rentals.

Wes + Dudley + 2023 2nd + $$ for Richaun Holmes. That would make me far happier than Andre Drummond.

I'd be happy with Lowry, but I'd be happier with Lonzo.

who would you trade first if you are rob? Dennis or KCP?
Schroder for Terrence Ross will be ideal for me
Norman Powell for Trez would be dream come true
Add Drummond in the buy out market
LAL will be unbeatable

With the sixers getting George Hill, does that mean they're out on Lowry?

So apparently that was a 3 team with the Knicks and they didn't give up a whole lot, so I think Philly may still be in on Lowry...

If I’m them I’m still trying to sign JJ as a buyout and trade for Lowry because I can’t trust playoff Seth

You mean size or talent?

Lowry has him beat in talent and impact

I can see Riley about to offer anybody not named Butler and Bam to the Raptors for Lowry, he'll include 6 1st round picks in needed.

I don't want to lose KCP and Schroder for Lowry, as solid of an addition that he would be. KCP is who he is...he has these embarrassing cold periods, and to think that he might have have one of those spells in the playoffs is scary, but he is severely underrated in terms of what he bring to the table. The upgrade of Lowry over Schroder simply isn't worth losing KCP imo, UNLESS there is another deal in the works with a wing coming in for Harrell.

Number one priority right now should be getting a wing/guard for Harrell, as Drummond looks more and more likely.
