i think lowry deal happens first, as it will be a domino trade, heat and 76ers will look to do other moves.
plus i expect lowry to be a 3-4 team trade.
powell will go down to last minute, auction style, more teams involved, smaller salary and easily packaged in trades to other team. wont need to be a multiple team trade.

I’m not sure, I feel like everyone is expecting the Lowry trade to be the big domino piece to fall first but I have a feeling it will be one of the last transactions. I just hope management stay strong and hold if they see other trades happening beforehand. We cannot panic and we must get everything we deserve when trading a Lowry caliber leader/talent

Thoughts on Maxey as a core piece moving forward?

If Kyle goes elsewhere, Sixers look to acquiring Lonzo Ball or George Hill or Malcolm Brogdon (Pacers are a dumpster fire right now).

This will go down to the wire. Love me some trade deadline day!

Yeah I don't see that as realistic either.

Wiretap.

Kyle Lowry wants an indication that any team trading for him is willing to give him a two-year extension worth at least $25 million per year, sources tell the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Lowry is currently making $30 million in the final season of his deal with the Toronto Raptors.

The Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat are considered the favorites to trade for Lowry.

According to a source, the 76ers are unwilling to include Matisse Thybulle in a trade for Lowry, but could instead include Tyrese Maxey.

Oh and for the kids that wanted Maxey instead of thybulle... yeah I told you so.

Wiretap

"As of [Wednesday], the Raptors weren't thrilled with their offers for Kyle Lowry," said Brian Windhorst on First Take. "They're basically negotiating with only two teams, with Miami and Philadelphia. From what I can glean from people I've talked to, neither one of them are putting the premium, premium package they can offer for Kyle Lowry and that's frustrated the Raptors a little bit.

"Part of the issue is that Kyle Lowry wants a contract extension, or at least a new contract after this season somewhere in the neighborhood of $25 million per year over two years. And that's an issue for Philadelphia and that could contribute to their hesitancy."

Like I said, Lowry's insistence on 50 mil outside of the free agency period has screwed us and dropped his value.

Lowry is such good friend's with Butler, that you wouldn't want to piss off the Franchise Player and not pay Lowry the $25 million he deserves. Maybe if they have the cap space do it 26-24.

Which is not a bad thing, in and of itself. I hope it turns into a complicated 3-4 team trade that includes Powell and Siakim, and somehow we end up with 5-6 unprotected firsts.

Lol at josh lewenberg writing raps are telling teams Kyle isn’t going anywhere and tweeting about it. I think we can all agree not to listen to Josh from now on.

Maxey is just okay for me. Nothing he does really "stands out" of such. Maybe in more minutes and with some development? he's still really young and I try not to write prospects off too early.

I don't know if he's a starter in the league but I think he could be a solid combo guard on a winning team at his peak.

Herro is definitely the better bet though if I'm going to gamble on either one.

Paul Reed please!!! I feel like he performed like Chris Boucher did in the GLeague with better ball-handling.

Maxey with your development will be an All star caliber in 2/3 years. He has alot going for him just doesn't fit our timeline. I can understand hesitation though.

With Brooklyn assembling its 3-headed monster this season, you'd think teams like Miami and Philly would put forth their absolute best offers for Lowry right out of the gate. Let's be real, as it currently stands, neither team is getting past Brooklyn, but either of them adding Lowry would definitely make things interesting, especially Philly.

Know the value of what you have.

Lowry's game isn't falling off a cliff anytime soon and we all know how big his impact is. He might be the most underrated PG of the generation.

You have to pay up if you want an All-Star, All-NBA, CHAMPIONSHIP calibre PG.

High key I want Raptors to get the best of heat for past dealings and how Bosh ended up onctheir team. Gone are those days where we soften up and get bodied by teams.

Not sure it’s announced after the deadline because we’ve got to work on Norm too. But I do think Miami will regret not including Herro if they don’t.

I also think they ultimately include him and that’s how we get this done.

What did he show you? He was actually pretty bad. One thing he does have is confidence. But, in terms of game, other than the media hype he wasn't that great.

I'll laugh if an unknown team swoops in and takes Lowry away from Phi and Mia.

haha Paul Reed awesome! I love all our youngins, but especially Maxey and Reed. I consider them both steals in last year's draft, and if the Raptors somehow get them both, the Raptors officially become my second team.

Wow, all season I've felt like it's been time to trade Lowry, but now it kind of bums me out. I still think it's the right move if we can get some good assets, but I can actually live with it if the trade falls through and we get one more half season of Lowry.

From what I remember, he was pretty impressive in the Bucks series and took over for stretches in a couple of games. As a rookie.

He definitely has the tools to be an impact piece.
