Yeah are they on the cusp of competing or something? I admit I don't know much about their roster but to give up two firsts seems...premature?
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.
Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

There's an argument to be made that those 2 Bulls 1sts are worth more than the 4 Bucks 1sts from the Jrue tradeRon Swanson wrote:Great move by Orlando. Unless both those firsts are like, Top-20 protected, what the hell are the Bulls doing?

Porter, LMA, Mills, Dragic etc... Could be some good names available via buyout, soon.

Pretty sure it's the opposite. Those will most likely be two middling picks for an all star level player. WCJ is a bust. Let's hope Porter gets bought out.

I might be the last person on Wendell Carter island but I still think there's a good player there somewhere waiting to come out.
I think this deal is fine for both sides. Orlando needed a reset and I get Chicago trying to win after years in the wilderness. The 21 1st is likely in the late teens and there's enough talent there where they shouldn't be terrible in two years so I doubt either pick ends up some crazy good asset.
If Otto Porter gets bought out he's a guy who could help a contender.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I just don't see the Bulls being good in 2 years. Vuc will be 32. Could see them being a lottery team again unless they get someone good with cap space.

I imagine they're hoping they'll be taken a little more seriously as a free agent destination with LaVine taking a step this year and Vucevic being an all-star caliber player. I think this trade makes a lot of sense for both teams honestly; they've both needed to make a move like this for awhile.
If Otto Porter actually gets bought out I hope we're very interested.

You really think a 30-year old Vuc is the caliber of player that a lottery team should be investing multiple 1st round picks in? We'll see what the protections are but the Bulls are currently sitting at the 10th pick in the draft and are 3-6 since the All-Star break. Someone earlier nailed it, but this is a Kohl-Bucks level move that looks incredibly short-sighted.

Even if you don't like Wendell Carter, much I like this for Orlando. They desperately needed to get off the treadmill, and I don't think this makes Chicago appreciably better. I think they snagged a young guy with some upside, and a couple of late lotto tickets. No idea what Chicago is doing.

I'm assuming Fournier just went for the TPE and the picks right?

Boston has issues that a mediocre player isnt going to fix. Not worried about them in the slightest.
