Weltman is awful, but these trades basically seal their fate as well. They won't make it another year. We are resetting.

Love the Vuc trade. Lets now go get Evan Mobley, a new age mobile center.

Great deal. If we don't get a top 3-4 pick, this gives us a tool for a decent offer to trade up.

will be 2 non-lottery picks. dont like this trade at all

Chicago is in the play-in bracket right now so it's possible. But right now they'd have to beat teams like Boston or Indy. Teams that have playoff experience. Can the likes of Vooch really help them pick up the slack to avoid the play-in bracket? I really doubt it. The odds are greater that this is a lottery pick than it's not. And if they do make it in the playoffs, we're looking at the 15th-16th at absolute worst. That can still get a decent prospect and has move-up potential.

I disagree, to me they cant do this without managements approval
This tells me that they are going to be incharge of the rebuild and will be give more time here

Would have liked one of Langford or Nesmith, but there was just no leverage for something like that with Fournier at the end of his deal.

yeah under the circumstances it's not too bad, however considering our history with second rounders though......maybe that changes with this new direction we're heading in

Our pick and can trade up.
Trade Otto for something.
Get off Aminu entirely.
Future pick.
Addition by subtraction.

More importantly, we are securing top 5 odds and a serious shot at selecting Cade/Suggs. That's what this deal is about.

We already had it secure, come on. Our team is garbage with all of those injuries if we trade Evan or AG.

Did the Magic get the next Bam Adebayo in Carter Jr? What does it mean for Bamba’s future and what does it say about the front office that they selected Bamba one spot ahead.

On a side note I’m excited to see what the Bulls could do with that front court + LaVine.

 I can't believe we're in full blown tank mode again.

We better get a superstar player this draft. I can't do this again for another 10 years :banghead: :noway: :nonono:

Two second rounders for Fournier ... We don't use 2nd rounders.

Yikes thats terrible, his value is poop.

We gain by removing him. The cap space is more valuable than the contract he is on.

He is an expiring contract. How they can't get anything better than 2 2nd picks?

Value of the return aside (which I don't think is terrible), a roster overhaul is long, LONG overdue. I'm thrilled they've finally committed to it, and I might actually enjoy watching Magic games again for the remainder of the season.

Magic could be looking at $30 million+ in cap space this off-season depending on what they get back for Gordon.

today's NBA doesnt rely on centers. not happy with this trade. We could have kept Vuc and used our pick on the best wing player. now we could use it on the 5 spot and still need wing players. Carter to me is a 10/8 player.

You get a crap return when you wait too long to do anything, and that’s why this management is awful. So desperate to make 8th seed and lose badly. Yes Vuc and Fournier needed to go but these returns are not good to say the least.

I’m shocked they even traded Vuc. Can’t believe it.
