Now have Lauri in a package for Lonzo and this deadline will be the best I can remember as a Bulls fan. And really put us in a great spot moving forward. HYPE

Re: NBA Trade Thread # 3
What is this complete obsession with centers? One first rounder I would have been fine with, but two of them? With Thad Young probably sticking around, this means Lauri is probably gone.

Re: NBA Trade Thread # 3
With who they have now a couple of possibilities open up. They still have very few players under contract for next year, still have some cap space remaining but no FRP.
When/If they do trade again a couple of second round picks this year would be worthwhile to get back. Let's not rule out buying a later FRP from some team with very little salary cap space.
They could easily still trade Markkanen or Young because they now would split the PF minutes and Williams and Aminu can backup. Previously all they could really want to get back would have been a PG. Now they could trade either of those PFs and get a SF in return because Porter being gone puts Williams at the SF position exclusively with only Valentine behind him.
If they could trade Markkanen for a starting SF Williams is the PF and backup SF and Young goes back to coming off the bench. If they decide to resign Lauri they could trade Thad for a backup SF and maybe a pick. What this does is open up the number of possible trading partners

Possible trades that make us better now...
Lauri, Sato, and Felicio for DeRozan (I wouldn’t do it)
Lauri, Sato, Arci, FRP for Brogdon

Gordon to Denver, does that take them out of the Ball sweepstakes?

So far it’s better than any with Paxson at the helm

Trent if FA. Bulls can still look at FA to get him. This is just Blazers taking best deal so he doesnt walk away. They were higher on Powell than Coby it seems. Or overall deal was better for them. But I guess Raptors are serious to match offer sheet.

Nice...but why for WAS? Gafford is a 2nd rounder and Hutch is unplayable both physically & mentally. I didn't think we'd get a low 2nd rounder for these guys.
Did we give them cash?

Re: NBA Trade Thread # 3
so will AK get his point guard? I think AK is determined to get Lonzo... I smell him trying to get another team to do a 3-way deal involving Lauri going out, and Lonzo in.

yes bc they dont have assets used it all. but losing AG is tough. would have wanted gordon, vuc in a package and ball.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

Norman Powell is so far ahead of Coby they might as well not be in the same league. Powell's last 10 games have been 26 ppg while playing great defense on 54% fg / 43% 3P.
They must absolutely love Trent to give Powell up for just his RFA status. That, or they want to intentionally lose to the bottom.

clean what? if they get ball, moving lauri is like giving away the chip.
it depends on the moves whether moving lauri is worth.

Lauri Felicio and Sato for Ball and Bledsoe
Gives salary relief for Bledsoe deal in 17 mil of expiring and a young player

Could we get Marvin Bagley on the cheap? I’d like to think he’s worth rolling the dice on if the price is right.

Pass on Bledsoe. Not only does his contract suck, but he's not very productive and I doesn't strike me as a great chemistry guy.
