Doubt it

Vuc
JI
Cade
Fultz
Cole

with Ross and CHuma on the bench is NOT a top 4 seed. That team is not better then the bucks\76ers\nets\Heats\celtics, so at best it would be a 5th seed, but the hornets are a young team with alot of talent, they likely will be a top 5-6 seed next year, the raptors are down this year, but i trust their GM to rebuild that team quickly, the hawks are in a similar boat as the hornets

SO keeping vuc, ross and vets to met just gets us into the 6-8 range and still way behind the top 5 teams

You are forgetting what we could get for AG and Evan. At least AG should get us a valuable player like Ross.

Evan got us 2 2nd rounders
AG will likely get us something good, but its not like were gonna get back harden or somethng for him
Well likely get a prospect and a 1st rounder

So now change that lineup to cole moving to the bench a mid-to late 1st round SG in its place

Sorry but thats still not a top 4 see

I dont get it, vuc has been here for 9 years, what more can he do for us? This year hes averaging 25/12/4 and we are still a top 4 team in the league. Hes not Lebron or anything. hes a good center who was forced to try to be great

I love him as a player, but hes not a guy you rebuild with

Porter will most likley ask for buyout. Guy might never even suit up for us, let alone resign

Damn we got that scrub Otto Porter Jr too, at least we moved Aminu. Not going to like Vuc going to look good in a Bulls uni. Best of luck to that guy, what a all-around great guy/player he was the entire time here.

I’m not sure I like this. I haven’t been that impressed with WCJ since he was drafted. The picks are nice sure, but I want to know if there is any protections on them. Chicago isn’t a lock to make the playoffs this year even with Vooch so maybe two lottery picks for us. Maybe.

Just try one more time, but now adding a baller with a top pick in the Draft. If it doesn't work next season, that's OK, blew it by the trade deadline.

ehh. 2021 will PROBABLY not land in lottery. They are simply too good to not win more games than Hornets and Knicks, i mean they are only 3 wins away from 4th seed  East sucks
ESPN ( Max and SAS ) speculate Bulls are not done with trades, so yea, that's not lottery pick

2023 picks is interesting one ,but again, if Bulls are really gearing up to become serious team, that's another non lottery pick ( probably)

Esencially , for now, it's Wendell Carter and some 14-18 pick in 2021 for Vuc and yet to be determinated 2023 pick

UCF wrote:I wish Vuc well and thank him for his time in Orlando. He turned out the be the best player in the Howard trade and will continue to benefit the team with this trade. The harsh reality is keeping him didn’t make sense and selling high was the best course forward.

Losing Aminu in the trade was an added bonus.

I appreciate Vuc a ton, and will miss him. I don't, however, understand why some Magic fans are losing their crap. This is a glorious tank move, and we got a decent young guy in WCJ, with two 1st rounders. One of which will almost certainly be a mid-late lottery pick. And 2023 could be good too. We're going to have a shot a Cade and some this year.

Lift the protections on the picks, and I think it's a solid deal. But the Magic didn't get anyone with all-star upside. And they didn't get any unprotected picks.

The cap space the Magic generated is nice though. Glad we're off Aminu's deal.

I’m going to guess these picks don’t even pan out to be lottery picks. Anyone got a positive outlook on this?

Guess we are going to find out pretty quick how much Vuc matters to winning basketball. He's much better than Carter in terms of production. Should be interesting to see how much he adds to the WIN Column.

I'm personally okay with the move. Nothing special. But not terrible. What I'm most exicted about is not hearing people cry about Vuc anymore.

So our FO is paying to get ride of someone that they signed and they didn't need... Sounds good!

I cant believe thats all we could get for Evan. Our cap situation should be interesting since we didnt take back salary and Otto Porter expiring.

I'm okay with this trade. I hate losing Vucevic but at least we dumped Aminu. 2 picks and the potential of WCJ.
