Otherwise there’s three of our starters moving forward.

It doesn't matter. We're officially trash. I can't believe we traded 2 starters and an all-star and only got back 1 bad starter, 1 rough prospect, and protected picks. Individually, I think we lost every trade. But when you look at the entire return, it looks even worse.

The new GM isn't even here yet for the third rebuild attempt and he's already being setback. Weltman definitely needs to be fired now before he does more damage this summer with the draft picks and free agency. Can't let him make all the long term decisions on his way out.

I just learned of all three trades at the same time. To summarize my thoughts.

1) Overall glad we're blowing it up and tanking for the rest of the season.
2) Pretty disappointed in the meager returns, especially on the Fournier deal, unless there's something that hasn't been reported yet.
3) Mildly surprised to see Vooch go. I was thinking he'd stick around a while longer, or if traded only for a big-time return.
4) The front office has done nothing to dispel the notion that they're among the league's worst, but at least they did something and didn't sit on their hands as usual, I guess.

Alex Martins thinks we’re still good enough for the ECF.

We don't have Den 1st this year...

Most hilarous aspect of all this is alternatives:

2013- picked Oladipo- Otto Porter right there
2014- picked Payton- Gary Harris was there at 19#
2018 - picked Bamba- Wendell Carter up there to grabs
2020 -picked Cole- RJ Hamtpon right there in front of them

I haven’t really had time to evaluate the returns. Admittedly, I haven’t followed Harris, WCJ, or Hampton. I’m just glad they picked a direction. Now we can focus on the draft and evaluating talent.
I think the scary part now is depending on Weham to not eff up the draft.

Just saw someone tweet: OKC now has 17 firsts and 17 seconds over the next 7 years.

Nuggets first round pick is a joke, who gives a f*** where draft pick will land 4 years from now?

4 years ago Fultz was viewed as next Harden and Lonzo Ball was new Steph Curry.. in basketball it's ancient history.

I saw very good explanations somwhere how fans overrated picks just because they saw Celtics destoy Nets in one trade and that happend to be only that type of lobsided robbery in history and projected that notion on every other transaction.
Truth is, picks are assets, contenders throw away picks and long term it doesn't matter, if you gear up for rebuild, you can alway gain picks by selling.

Rockets did it both ways. They spent 7 years of selling picks and returned them all in one season.

People simply make too big deal of it.

Most picks team trade turn into fringe rotation peaces. Cca 19 of 30 picks from 2015 are either bench warmers or out of nba.

do you trust them to use those picks? though some years later

Gotta fire them for sure. They were already on thin ice for their unimpressive drafting and signings... now they've confirmed they can't win big trades either. Can't let them make these upcoming picks and more free agent signings in their contract year.

You cannot in any world convince me that we lost the trade with Chicago. We lost the Evan trade when we decided to wait this long until trading him. The AG trade is okay, but I would have liked something different.

But the Vuc trade in terms of the value we got back, is an absoulute win imo. I don't get some of the pessimism especially from some posters who wanted a full rebuild.

The Bulls will be good now. But lets not act like they are gonna be a top 3 team in the East. The pick this year will be in the middle of the first round. Theres some value there. The one in 2023 who knows. The Denver pick is a head scracher but getting Hampton is kinda like getting a pick.

Possibility cliff steps down post season and we get a new HC. I don't see him sticking around with this roster. Mutual parting

I'm A-okay firing these guys. But it's just good they finally got off their asses and picked a direction.

WCJ, journeyman center. OPJ, bought out or leaving during summer. 1st round pick will be 16 or higher (non-lottery pick), and another likely non-lotto pick in 2023. for an all-star center in his prime. yeah, we lost that trade.

Eh, this is more like admitting their rebuild failed than picking a direction. It's their resignation letter.
