Herro>>>>>>THT

TD2 maybe.

Powell would have been perfect for these purposes but it's water under a bridge now.

If THT played on a different team, no one would know who he is. It’s because he’s playing on Lebron’s Lakers just like that Caruso guy lol

Lakers gotta be the dumbest team in league to hold up THT for Lowry.

All sounds like smokescreen to me

Miami isn't even that good of a team. They're been extremely medicore this year. In their mind, Does trading away a 21 yr old player with potential make sense for a Player who might really not move the needle in the long run?

Lowry would be much more of a factor for the Lakers.

Yep. Lakers can't acquire a better player than Lowry... but they also have MUCH less to offer.

I'd Lowry doesn't work out for them, they'll either offer the same poo poo platter to Houston or wait til the offseason to sign Dipo.

Lakers can give more than Dincan Robinson , its a matter of who blinks first

Got a strange feeling the Hawks are about to swoop in and get Lowry.

The Heat had a lot of COVID issues. Jimmy was out for a month. They are a lot better than their record.

They haven't had COVID issues since the start of the season. They've been healthy for the last 2 months. They're on a 5 game losing streak

Apparently health and safety protocol excuses only work for teams that aren't Toronto

You'd hope our exec had a talk with Lowry of him potentially staying put. I get this feeling Riley knows something from Lowrys camp that our team will move him no matter what and Riley just holding out because he knows it'll be a bad break up if we don't trade him to his preferred place

Lakers owe picks out to 2027 lol.

They LITERALLY have nothing to offer. Miami knows that and so they aren't going to budge.

Masai will now need to give into Riley's package (which is likely less than what it started out as since we lost significant leverage) or keep him.

I think Masai got over aggressive asking for Thybulle, Maxey AND 2 FRPs. I think if he lowered the ask by removing a 1st or Thybulle and replacing that with Reed, we'd still have Philly on the hook.

4 game after going 11-1 before that.

They were something like 6-7 games below 0.500 to start the year and built themselves back up.

Heat are as scary as anyone not named Brooklyn in the East.

Lol I wouldn't be surprised I hope we make the trade for what's best for us and not some nice gesture for Lowry

Lakers owe picks out to 2027. So unless you like THT more than Robinson, I'm going to disagree with you on this one.

I feel like the Heat/Sixers need Lowry more than we need to trade him.

I'm sure Lowry wouldn't mind getting traded to ATL. They're a good young squad that will be making the playoffs.
Lowry can always sign elsewhere in the offseason.

We lost 4 games of guys, the Heat had legitimately a month including a superstar and their best player.

Do you think the Heat versus Raptors ends up with a Raptors series win?

The reality is in the PO everyone would fear the Heat, no one would fear us, and now Masai and Bobby are selling assets because they know this fact.

I mean, everyone trusts Masai and Bobby right?

There's just a few months left in the season. We have Trent Jr, don't need and can't use Robinson. Miami has nothing really to offer. If at the end of this Lowry understands that Masai really values him highly and will offer him his money int he off-season as a fallback, I really doubt there will be bad feelings.

Yeah we might have been over aggressive with Philly, but that was probably to drive up Miami's offer to include Herro.

I wonder if Philly would have done Maxey + Reed + 2 FRPs or Maxey + Reed + 1 FRP.

This exactly. I feel like the packages being offered don't move the needle enough anyways. The pressure is on these teams to make a move to be able to compete with Brooklyn.

Return to Toronto Raptors
