Including Romeo Langford, we have 15 guys on our active roster. Who gets booted out to make room for Fournier?

Personally, I think he has a bit of a chance to flourish if given a role on a better team, much like Bogdanovic did for Indy and now Utah. I also think if he has a good run here there's a decent likelihood he can be retained at a reasonable number. Does not appear like there's huge appetite for him given how cheap it was to get him. At 28 and with limited injury woes, if he likes it here he could be a nice mid-term fit for 2 years.

I haven't heard about TT locker room issues. Do you have a link. I will say that on court has been very noticeable. I don't have an issue with his play - but he seems to get visibly upset sometimes when guys don't get him the ball. Dude - that's not why you are on the court. Just do your job.

Kevin O'Conner and Chris Vernon talked about it at length in a recent podcast. Apparently TT just keeps going out and partying, breaking protocol, etc. and has been setting a bad tone for the younger guys on the team. Sounded like he had been soured realllll quick in there, which is a bummer because Ainge claimed part of why they got him is they thought he'd bring some leadership to a young team.

I thought getting him out of a loser situation like CLE would bring the best out of him but just think he might not have the same kind of fire he had as when he was 23/24, hadn't got paid and was getting motivated by LeBron.

It looks like some people don't realize that Fournier is actually a better, more versatile offensive player than Brown/Tatum.

I wouldn't say he's a better offensive player, but he has more floor vision/playmaking skills than they do. They're at different stages of their careers too; I suspect when the Jays are in their late 20s a lot of the game will come easier for them then too. Fournier is a much better player than he was at 23 as well.

He's better ball handler, more efficient, can score from anywhere. He's simply a better, more well rounded offensive player than both, period!

This is like buying rust-proofing but then not buying the automobile.

Wasn't Fournier just a minor thing.

Wasn't acquiring A Gordon, or a Vucevic, the actual transaction that was supposed to be done.

Shooting guard Fournier will now stand around as Shooting guard Tatum stands around while Shooting guard Brown stands around while Kemba bounces the ball for 20 seconds.

Fournier?

Couldn't they just bring back Pavlovic ?

Good thing the Celtics used all their first rounders on shooting guards, like Nesmith and Romeo.

Fournier is making $17.45 million this season.

He's 27 and a career 45/37.6 shooter, has shot close to 40% last season and this season.

Do the Celtics let him walk or think he will give them a discount, the way the fans here thought Horford and then Hayward would give the Celtics a discount?

Guess it depends on what kind of interest he draws in free agency.

Fournier is now instantly the 3rd best player on the roster behind Tatum and Brown. Like the move a lot as this team desperately needed help but Ainge needed to make 1 or 2 more moves to be a threat in the conference.

Really? That’s it ? Mo Wagner and Fournier? Another dud deadline from Danny . He might as well raise the white flag cuz those moves are going to do jack . What a sad excuse of a franchise we’ve become . Lest anyone forget , Wyc doesn’t want to spend money . The sad thing is I’ve become used to this BS. We used to make bold moves . Now we just nibble around the edges at bs moves that aren’t going to love the needle . If anything our D just got worse

Didn't really know much about him but studying him he looks real good. Pretty effortless scorer. He'll take some offensive load off the Jays and push Smart down to the 5th option, where he belongs.

The fact that the Cs went out and got not one but two bench bigs tells me they are looking at a potential buyout. If TT spends more weeks in the Protocol he will essentially be off the team anyways.

Don't kid yourself, Smart is obviously our closer, which makes sense, considering our record and the amount of close games we've lost.
