I can't believe what WB did to Zack Snyder's Justice League. Why did they cut all of that stuff out?

I am so glad I watched Zack Snyder's cut

I started to watch but then I saw it. FOUR hours?!

Considering how underwhelmed I've been with what DC has done post DK trilogy, I don't know if I I'll ever find time to watch the Snyder cut.

Maybe I'll do it in shifts like they were originally gonna do but even that's asking a lot.

It’s recently come to my attention that making fun of the marvel movies/MCU and people for enjoying them is kind of the en Vogue hipster thing to do. This is so bizarre to me.

There’s a time and a place for almost any modality of entertainment. I have to say however that going back and watching this scene just always reminds me that I don’t believe there will ever be a bigger accomplishment in filmmaking than the MCU from beginning to end. When you consider the scale/expectations/money/passionate fan base, it’s actually insane that they pulled off a satisfying conclusion over the course of damn near 15 years. This is the crescendo.

Watched this tonight with my wife who’s never seen it. Seeing Chadwick hit me harder than I thought it would.

That final battle scene. Just wow. I’ve always maintained Helms deep from LOTR 2T was the greatest battle scene in history but this might have it beat.

Everyone gets their stuff in. Everything is earned. Emotional stakes get paid off at the end. Just perfection.

Some of the MCU movies are those that I'll stop and watch on cable if they're on, then I remember I have Disney+ and flip to that. I watched Endgame for the 3rd or 4th time last week because it was on.

I don't understand how Feige can churn out satisfying hit after hit, and DC just bombs with every non-Nolan movie, and even the Dark Knight Rises sucked hard. Watching the Snyder cut today just made me sad for the DC universe.

I must not have any contact with hipster things because I'm completely unaware of any anti marvel backlash.

Idk about the hipster thing but I just got bored with them and stopped caring when they churned them out factory line style. How many are there? It's just boring and repetitive to me. I feel like a couple of them were innovative or interesting but then future movies tried to copy the formula. It doesn't bother me that other people like them, and I'm not trying to be cool hating on them, I'm way to old for that.

And what I would argue is the most earned line in cinema history. The shear number of movies they held off useing "Avengers Assemble" before breaking it out is unreal

Never thought I'd see a 4-hour version of a still terrible movie get so much praise for simply not being as terrible as the original. I can appreciate crowd-sourcing campaigns when they're done right (i.e. Deadpool), but this trend of constantly listening to the loudest comic book fanboys on the internet is resulting in far more shows/movies that are straight-up corny/bad fan fiction as opposed to actually, you know.....good, well written stories.

The four hour cut of the 3 hobbit films actually became a decent movie. I know, different thing, but yeah, that happened.
