Re: Trade Talk (Part Six)
Not worried about the lack of a trade. I'll be curious to see if Davis gets bought out.

I’m not saying Rosas got any good offers, but if he looked at our roster and said, “no thanks -we’re good,” ... grrrrrr

I don't think that's what he said. It's probably more about values. Not only that, but a changing coaching staff gives Finch and Rosas the last months to evaluate who works in this system and who doesn't.

The guy never had a healthy roster. He spent 2019 fixing the mess left to him by Thibs and then never got a real look at his roster in 2020 or 2021. To be fair his team is 2-0 when healthy. However, I do hate small ball so Rosas getting fired wouldn’t make me too sad. Still I think he has at least one more to turn things around.
I actually agree with not making a tread this season. Teams didn’t want to pay fair market value for our guys and without knowing about the pick there is no added incentive to move now. I expect us to make moves on draft night after hopefully getting about a month of healthy team with Finch. Assuming KAT’s wrist holds out.

All true, but regardless of how Finch uses it, the roster is just as unbalanced now as it was before the deadline passed.

Eh, we cannot be hard on Rosas, he tried. We read the Wolves name in many trade rumors, it's not that he is a complete duffer, the price was too high.

Re: Trade Talk (Part Six)
I knew I'd be pissed when the deadline passed.
Far and away the worst team in the league, beaten by double digits on a nightly basis, horrendous roster with no balance whatsoever -glut of guards, no playable PFs, no defense, no BBIQ-, players continuing to lose value, no cap room next summer, 60% chance to lose their pick.
Rosas couldn't move one freaking piece.

Re: Trade Talk (Part Six)
Always have believed 2021 offseason would be the time for a big move. Still believe it to be the case. Wouldn't even rule out say a John Collins S/T in the summer. If we build up more wins this year as guys return, one underrated part of losing our pick this year (brace yourselves, some don't want to hear this) is it frees up our pick responsibility for us to be able to trade earlier picks moving forward if we want to make a major move.

I have a hard time believing he would think that, but I do think whether we have our pick is something that could have a big impact in how we proceed. It's something he might want to wait on to get a better perspective.

You could at least understand it to a certain degree if he was paid.

I'm starting a Fire Rosas thread

That tweet is so ironic. His first sentence is literally irony defined.

Re: Trade Talk (Part Six)
We couldn't dump Culver, Layman, Hernangomez, or Vando? I'd have to think we could get a 2nd for some of these guys and clear out our logjam of wings.
Dlo and Beasley will come back. That leaves young guys who need minutes who's value is going to just tank more. Nowell and McDaniels have absolutely earned more minutes.
Dlo - Rubio - Jmac
Beasley - Okogie - Nowell
Edward's - Culver - Layman
Vando - McDaniels - Juancho
KAT - Naz - Davis
