Oladipo isn't even good man.

Reddick is still my top buyout target.

He can be good playing off Butler and Bam. I thought highly of Miami even before they got him though, I think there's legit upset potential if we met them in the playoffs. I'm more worried about them than I am Philly or Milwaukee.

I thought Redick was traded to Dallas?

The idea of Butler and Oladipo beating Harden Kyrie Durant is unfathomable to me,

We would have the 3 best players in the series.

I don't see any serious threat in the East tbh. Only team that scares me is the Lakers.

It's not always about having the best players though, and Butler was playing like a top 5 player in last year's playoffs btw. Bam is also one of the best defensive players in the league, and is also putting up nearly 20 ppg on 63% TS. He's like a poor man's Anthony Davis. I could very easily see Butler/Bam/Dipo causing a lot of havoc in the playoffs.

I mean, the Lakers are scary because of LeBron/Davis. Miami has the poor man version of that duo in Butler/Bam, with better role players, especially now that they have Dipo, who I think will play better in Miami.

Butler averaged 22 points for the playoffs. He had amazing moments but lets not act like he was KD.

Those guys are not in the same stratosphere as KD or Harden. Probably not Kyrie either.

And yet they gave the Lakers their toughest fight of the PS, while being decimated by injury. I don't think that's coincidence.

Oladipo is nothing like the player he was, I don't see him elevating that franchise much at all, I could be wrong especially if he was purposely dialing it in at Houston in order to be traded. That would be my only concern.

What is going to happen with Spencer?

I had feeling we were going to hold onto him, Marks has not made any big moves at the deadline that I recall. He is posting his workout videos almost everyday, but it would be unwise to risk coming back this season. Marks could try to offer a backloaded contract. Or some kind of sign and trade in the off season.

We will see what happens in summer. I know everyone expects spencer to opt out but idk if he’s going to get the contract he thinks coming off an ACL tear. I doubt the nets offer him a big contract. I do think last nights game kinda showed that we need him though.

Sidenote: Houston is looking so stupid for what they did in the Harden deal.

Gave up Levert for Oladipo who they got nothing back for from Miami. Meanwhile Levert is looking good with Indiana.

Also gave up Allen for a first round pick? Are you kidding me? He's looking even better in Cleveland.

Houston could have had Levert, Allen, Christian Wood and all our picks.

Yep. They didn't get good value at all... Should have kept LeVert and Allen. It's only a matter of time until Wood's bad attitude shows up again and he turns into Whiteside 2.0.

Oladipo looked pretty cooked the 2 or 3 times i seen him this year. but thats a super small sample. either way, it helps them but they still dont scare me

Oladipo was always a salary releif move for them.

Levert is playing well by his standards.... 16 ppg on 50 TS%. that is nothing houston would be excited about. for them its picks and cap space

From your lips to Marks' ear, I hope the same. Otto could have a real resurgence in the right system, he's not even 28 yet and is only recently looking like he's fully fit.

Norman Powell is going to the Blazers. Actually its not too bad that he ended up in the West, but sucks that we missed out on him. Portland is giving up Trent Jr and Rodney Hood.

Would you have traded Dinwiddie and Brown for Powell? I wouldn't. That's what it would have taken to outbid Portland. Norman is fine, but I don't love his hypothetical fit here quite as much as some of you.

Though I'm no Montrezl apologist, he's not a traitor.

He took his grandmother's passing very, very hard in the Bubble. No one can dictate how or when to grieve, and MH certainly didn't choose the timing. The Clippers (especially Doc) decided to use Harrell as the scapegoat for choking in his time of mourning. Classless. Really, George, Williams were far more culpable.

He always wanted to stay. He loves it here and we were never just giving him away for free.

He's also working his azz off to try and make it back for the post season.

I know it's unlikely, but it won't be for a lack of effort.

He's determined to shock the world and he's paying the price in his rehab.

Defensively is where his biggest drop off has come. The other issue the Heat will have / have to work to correct is that Dipo is not a great off the ball player... Dipo's poduction really took off when he moved into an on-the-ball high usage role in Indy. He was largely blah when playing off the ball in Orlando and OKC... I still like the move for Miami as there's high upside to it if Dipo regains his form and Jimmy learns how to play nice with other high usage players, but seeing what I have from Dipo recently I don't think the acquisition significantly moves the needle for Miami.

Ok great thing about yesterday was Lowry didn’t go to the Lakers/Sixers/Heat. Heat did get Dipo though.

For the 2nd half of the season ideally I would like the Nets to stay at the 2nd seed because the Heat would most likely end up 4/5. Then Sixers 1st, Bucks 3rd. So we face Bucks in 2nd rd and imo out of the 3 Bucks will be the easiest out. So we only have to face either Sixers or Heat should we advance.
