I'm just disappointed there weren't more JJs in the trade. Why did you have to let Barea go, Chuck?

I was told Redick is a rich man's Seth Curry so we good.

I mean, if they meant literally richer thanks to the $23 mil/1 year deal we gave him, then yes, that's an accurate assessment.

BullyKing citing random Mavs homer can't ruin this for me. Because this also means we are gonna get a Boban/Maxi/Luka pod and its gonna be glorious.

Oh and Trey Burke never sees the court in minutes that matter.

I like it for both teams. Redick will hopefully return to form with the spacing the Mavericks provide. Expiring, one prospect, and a 2nd is a good return for the Pelicans.

Yeah I expect a pursuit of Drummond that fails and a pursuit of Porter that probably fails, but maybe doesn't?

Iwundu is not a prospect.

Its still fine for the Pels getting a 2nd as opposed to buying him out. But Iwundu is not a prospect.

I’m a fan. And I don’t think we buy Melli out?

He’s been truly awful this year after looking, but last year he was a big forward that can move his feet and shoot threes?

I just checked and 26 is a bit older than I thought he was.

so Delon Wright, Seth Curry, and 3 2nd rounders to get Richardson, Redick, Bey and over $16M in potential cap space for next off-season? Kinda a meandering path to get there, but a nice bit of business from Donnie Nelson really.

I like it. JJ had some good seasons in MIA and I've liked Iwundu since his rookie season due to NBA 2K.

Not opposed, not a fan, its fine. Though I cant imagine a worse defensive bench in the league: Brunson, Reddick, THJ, and Powell? Yikes, I dont think any lead the starters can leave in the bench's hands is safe

Townsend saying they are keeping him.

Still think he is the odd man out if they do add someone in the buyout market. Unless it was a center then probably WCS. I think Boban survives because he's freaking Boban. In fact I'd not be shocked if he keeps getting one year deals here.

And I honestly don't mind if they spot him a few minutes to see if getting wide open looks from Luka can re-find his form, but I don't expect him in a playoff rotation.

I think there is an argument that Dallas could now make THJ a starter and bring Dorian off the bench with Redick a bit more punch for a 2nd unit? But in the playoffs I expect Dallas to try and keep 2 of Maxi/DFS/Richardson on the court as much as possible. And its clear they are going to have to outscore teams to win still.

But even if he just gets the Burke minutes and nothing else changes this was worth doing.

Not sure what they wanted reddick for tbh. See it more like an iwundu dump that cost a decent amount

I was hoping the Pels would make a play for a Aaron Gordon, Larry Nance type. Johnson is at the tail end of his career but I hope they play him at least a few minutes as a small ball 5, just to see what that could the team would look like with that type of player at the 5.
