So Aldridge is going to the Heat. I wouldn't mind Olynyk back here.

Re: Potential Buyout Guys
I'd give Otto Porter a try if he got bought out. But that would probably be it. LMA obviously but that's not even possible.

Re: Potential Buyout Guys
I have to admit, I'm mostly in the anti-buyout signing camp. I know they shed two vet guys and only got back one, but now that they got their scorer in Fournier, they really should be able to support playing Semi or Grant for the 8-10 minutes Tatum will be resting during playoff games. I'd prefer cutting Kornet and signing the best affiliate G League 4 or 5 as a futures play.

Kornet doesn’t belong on the roster. I would cut him. Sign KO.

Re: Potential Buyout Guys
Olynyk seems like a no-brainer if Porter isn't bought out/goes elsewhere. He's no Theis, but he does somewhat fill his role as the floor stretching big.

Dieng has put up nice per minute numbers in Memphis and is a 3&D center..

Re: Potential Buyout Guys
I still want a bigger forward to keep Semi and Grant on our 3rd string depth chart. Otto Porter Jr. would be great if he's really bought out. (edit to add: this Bleacher Report article says he's unlikely to be bought out https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2935542-otto-porter-jr-rumors-magic-unlikely-to-buy-out-sf-despite-interest-from-teams)
I'm fine with our bigs. Thompson/RWilliams/Wagner is fine. Keep them all at the 5. Get a more mobile/midsized 4 to back up (and sometimes play alongside) Tatum.

Olynyk is perfect on this team. Is he actually getting bought out? I would have traded a second for him.

He's apparently 300+ minutes away from earning a $1M bonus on his current contract, which might be incentive to not get bought out. He could put up STATZ in HOU for a few months instead. But come home, Kelly, we might sort of miss you or at least want to replace Grant Williams with you.
Edit: actually **** that I'm done with the Kelly Olynyk experience. He was a fine 13th pick but Brad would start him and Tristan and it'd be gross. I'd rather try to develop the sunk cost that is Grant Williams.

I really doubt he would start him. He'd play like 12-18 minutes a game. This team needs players who don't take terrible shots and can move the ball. I've always liked his defense, not really a rim protector but he has quick hands and moves well laterally. Don't know why his shooting escaped him this year, but everyone on Miami kind of sucked this year, especially to start the season.
Houston is in money-saving mode, you think they'll even give him 300 more minutes?

When I think of those criteria, I think "Moritz Wagner."
But honestly you know who's taken some terrible looking shots lately? Grant Williams. Several gross one-legged runners (one or two as quarters expired). That needs to go back into the locker. Do we seriously need to bring in a 'floaters' coach to teach NBA players how to shoot on the move? Is that what Jeff Teague was supposed to be?

Mo Wagner isn't really gonna do anything but finish dunks, though on offense. He shoots it, but so far he hasn't proven that he can hit the outside shot.

Re: Potential Buyout Guys
Avery Bradley?
I think he’d go to a contender anyways and not sure he’d be a fit here since I’d rather give those minutes to Nesmith and Langford.
But he’s a useful NBA caliber player which we clearly do not have enough of lol

I'd take Avery Bradley any day of the week if he was available. It killed me when we traded him a few seasons back! The guy is one of the most reliable players in the league, especially when it comes to defence. The guy adds grit and determination - something which we have been lacking on the defensive end!

AB is interesting. Would love to have him back as a fan. But I got to think he could find a better role on another team. We have Kemba Smart Fournier and PP. Brown Langford and Nesmith too. If he wants to come back I'd love to have him, but seems like he could have a better option somewhere else.
Side note- was really sad that he didn't get to win with the Lakers last year due to his kids health or whatever it was that kept him out of the bubble.
