I spend several months a year during the basketball season in Orlando (who cares? ;p) and man Orlando blowed it up real good. I wonder if they tried to trade Ross too, he would have been nice as a throw-in. ;o

Vuc is an absolute class act that has worked very hard and really improved his game. Really solid on and off the court. Easy to play with, not true with all bigs who score.

My one concern is that he has two years left, in theory he could be gone when Orlando is using the second #1 pick. That would kind of suck (I mean if he leaves in UFA.)

As the best player on a bad team he was an obvious target but I think most of Orlando appreciated him. He played with some real dreg teams. I don't think he necessarily wanted a trade but I think he could really love it in Chicago (other than the weather change and state taxes of course. ;o

Pretty wild stuff.

PG is the easiest position to find talent at anyway. There are at least 4 all star caliber PGs who can be free agents this summer and guys like Dinwiddie Dragic and Schroeder too.

There will not be 4 All-Star caliber PGs this summer. Dinwiddie would do nothing for the Bulls and Schroeder or Dragic are awful.

Oh, sorry buddy, it ended. It popped up on my facebook feed as I follow the team. Nothing tremendously insightful, but overall I really liked AK's demeanor and confidence in Vuc being a force for us. He was polite to the 5 guys we traded, ducked a question basically saying "Why was Carter so bad this year". He said "You know" about 450 times, but we all have our cadences while speaking at length.

GarPax would have never made this trade.

IMO, this is a Gasol esque deal we just made. We literally traded a bust, expiring, and some ok picks for a 25/12/4 guy with 2 years left on a reasonable deal.

I'm stoked about these deals. AK isn't messing around. We now have a front court of Vucevic, Lauri and Theis- all guys who can shoot. Ok, none of them are going to block a lot of shots, but Theis is tough, and Vuc at least is big. We could still use another pf though.

I expect Aminu to get some pt at wing, along with Pat.

The best part is we didn't have to give up anyone that was really good- I think we all had pretty much given up on Wendell, Gafford, Hutch, Kornet and Otto anyway. So we added a couple of nice pieces and although we did give up firsts, those picks will likely be in the mid teens to early twenties, so not a great loss.

Yup, after this draft, we still have some expirings and some first rounders left to trade for a star, if a wing star is available.

Outside of Lonzo, Kyle Lowry can be had for about 20 mil/yr. That's a possible pg target there.
