What are the chances the Chicago pick remains in the lottery?

It’s currently in the play in tournament range. I don’t see it dropping out of that.

- Chicago
- Indy
- Boston
- Atlanta

Given the new trades Indy seems the easiest to drop off the list. Boston feels the strongest. Both Chicago and Atlanta got better. Which survives??

There are definitely some nice prospects in the teens I would love to snag with that Chicago pick if they miss the playoffs.

I’m not convinced Chicago makes the playoffs.

But even if they do, the worst case scenario given how many games are left is that their 2021 pick ends up in the teens instead of the late lottery.

The Magic should still get mileage out of the pick one way or another, either by making it themselves or using it to trade in up or using it to acquire a young guy on a rookie deal.

http://www.tankathon.com/mock_draft

Just going off this mock here for the sake of discussion.

Let’s say the potential range for the Chicago pick is somewhere between #13-18.

If Moody is available to us that is a dream scenario IMO, unless perhaps Green is our guy at the top.

Mobley + Moody would not be a terrible combo to walk away with given how today ended up.

Right now.. a lot has Moody in the 6-10 range. With the workouts and interview where they see Moody is more athletic than we all thought then he will stay there, if they find something wrong then hello #15.

Fultz/Cade/Okeke/Isaac/Mobley?

Agree... Best scenario ever. However, Vuc and LAvine probably guarantees you the PO in this weak East so... #1 and #15?

If the wheels fall off in Chicago, they could fall as low as 7th. Sacramento, Toronto, OKC, and Pelicans could all pass them. With the Raptors keeping Lowry, they'll be fight them for the 10th spot.

OKC is definitely not passing them with SGA out.

I didn't know he was out. That may help our tank, because they play the Wizards and Pistons 2x each.

were in with a real shot to land one of the top 5 PLUS a Kispert/Bouknight/williams/Wagner. This trade takes the anxiety of not getting a top 5 pick. were gonna land two great picks in the top 15.

Just import the entire Gonzaga team.

Suggs in the top 5
Kispert with the Bulls pick
Ayayi with their own 2nd rounder
Timme with the Celtics 2nd rounder (if it's in 2021)

If we do pick 2 FRP players thid draft, who here sees that our SRP ( early 30s no less ) would.not be used? like traded or bought? with so many new YOUNG guys, I dont see us getting 3 more rookies unless we go all HINKIE PROCESS and tank for the 22 top 3ish pick

I'd be ecstatic if we could get all those guys.

Can anyone tell me what happens if Chicago do happen to land a top 4 this year? Does it carry over with same protections ?

I am a big fan of adding Kispert with the Bulls pick if he's available. Get a guy with a clear NBA skill there

If the mentality and desire to be great checks out, Green is the easy target IMO. 18ppg against grown men on 46/36/83 shooting is very impressive and he has elite athleticism to boot. There is so much young 'Kobe' in the highlights.

That's my #1 target. We get him, and the season was successful.

Guys... If we can get a pick 31-33 we could get Keyontae Johnson. Had he not had the heart attack on the court, he would have been a late lotto option. Insane value.

I dunno.. what if RJ ot Harris shows out? Plus with Cole as a pseudo-SG... we might need a ball handler more than a SG.

Don't care what any of them show. BPA always. Period. If Green checks out mentally (and of course, we won't know that but teams better be researching that), I'm taking him over a player because of fit.

If the other players show out? Great. We can trade them if Green is better.

Now, if you truly feel Suggs is better, so be it and we take Suggs but I'm not even letting LeBron determine if I can draft a player that plays the same position if he's going to be a superstar.

Oh I agree with BPA all the way. However in this top 5 area, its kinda hard to determine who or what BPA is anynore.

You go to the general board talking and you got #1 all over the place. Like #1 should be?? the mini-Luka ?? the mini- kobe?? or the next Brandon Roy?

Im just saying with these BPA clearly NOT clear, maybe we should pick who best fit for us is. Do we get the pure scorer? Or the triple double threat? Or the ball handling general who has abilities of the other 2? etc etc
