Around the NBA: 2020-21 Season
Let's hope for the best and maybe the Bulls are enticing to Wall a d we can get him for the rest of the season at vet minimum to see how it works out.
Wall > Zach > The Paw > Lauri > Vuc is a nice starting 5 and our bench won't be to shabby either.
Sent from somewhere you've never been.

Don't see any credible source saying that Wall and the Rockets are talking about a buyout. Chris Haynes says they don't.
I also wouldn't be super interested in him anyway.

Looks like there are a LOT of corrections to what I previously read.

People keep talking about their offense and hero ball, but Boston's offensive efficiency is actually higher this year than last year.
Seem to be a combination of their defense taking a big nosedive (not sure why, they lost Hayward but almost everyone else is back) and the East isn't a total joke it was last year. Wizards have beat them, and so has Detroit. ATL & NYK are solid playoff teams, etc..

Re: Around the NBA: 2020-21 Season
MIA getting Oladipo for basically nothing is a coup for them. Pat Riley is really one of the great GM's. He knows how you build a winner- you get stars. He is showing how, once you reach a certain degrees of success, adding the final piece or two isn't that hard because you become very attractive for free agents. Oladipo wanted to play for MIA, they are coming off an NBA finals appearance, and so there was very little risk for MIA to trade for him, knowing that he will very likely sign with them next year, maybe at a discount.
Now they have Jimmy, Bam, Dragic and Oladipo- that's 4 all star or near all star level players. With players that play both sides of the court. They will be dangerous in the playoffs.

He's a much better fit for the Euro league. It's not as physical, players aren't as big, so he can really be a force inside as well as out. I always liked his game.

Goran is fading mighty fast -- except when he played against us -- but you are correct in that Miami attracts good players, because those players figure that the Heat will be trying to win each and every year. They won't be wasting one of their seasons while the team tries to lose.
As for the Heat's chances, that's a terrific defensive trio Miami now has, and the Heat were playing excellent defense even before it got Dipo. Its problem has been scoring. Unfortunately, DIpo doesn't figure to help them with that. He's actually a pretty bad scorer, especially by All Star standards. He scores a fair amount but that's purely on volume.

Somehow people thought Bobby Portis was better because he “hustled” for loose rebounds. Mirotic is a good player who should be in the NBA but he is happy in Europe so good for him.

This is such a weird article: https://www.basketballnetwork.net/the-03-04-bulls-locker-room-had-its-own-gossip-girl/
Who do you think was sending around those anti-Skiles pamphlets?

Man good for him, I would rather live in Barcelona than anywhere in the US tbh.

For Olidiapo it is a smart choice too. If anyone has the staff to get him back into top shape it is Miami. Worst case for the heat is he doesn’t work and they don’t sign him in the off-season. They basically paid to get a cheap preview on their potential investment. The heat right now are kind of like the Patriots, the team and the system can give a player a good environment and a second chance.

Man the Hornets are legit a good team. You would think they would take a step back from not having Melo. They are even better right now. They are blowing out the Heat right now.

Re: Around the NBA: 2020-21 Season
Oladipo is a non factor, he isn’t a star anymore (barely ever was) & he barely plays. They got him for nothing because no one else was really interested, because it’s well known throughout the league that he’s damaged goods. Injuries have sadly ravaged his body. Definitely won’t move the needle for Miami. They took him on because why not, but there’s a reason that he wasn’t garnering major interest. You’ll be lucky if you get him to play once every 6 games, nevermind every night
Chicago & Denver won this deadline by a freaking landslide. People are going to see Gordon bust out huge with Joker & Jamal. Denver are going to be scary.

Nah Dipo is fine. I think Miami is thinking they could resign him in an effort to just replace Dragic.

The Heat aside from Butler simply aren’t that great

Blake Griffin off the bench: 17 pts, 5-8 FG, 2-2 3pt, also he can still dunk.
Harden with 44 pts and 14 rebs.

Oladipo hasn’t been a relevant player in years & was barely a star. He had that one good year, and that was really it. He won’t move the needle for them. Heck he barely ever plays. It was a solid gamble because why not, but it most likely will amount to nothing. There’s a reason no one was too interested in bringing him aboard, you’ll be lucky to get 25-30 games out of him

Malik Monk is going to get paid big money this offseason. It took him 4 seasons but man the improvement in shooting in one season has been crazy for him. 28% 3pt shooter last year. 41% this year. Props to him.

Its crazy how players come alive when they are in a good situation or in a situation on their terms. Its been 2 games for him and he already looks more lively then at any point this season for the Pistons.
