I haven't heard about TT locker room issues. Do you have a link. I will say that on court has been very noticeable. I don't have an issue with his play - but he seems to get visibly upset sometimes when guys don't get him the ball. Dude - that's not why you are on the court. Just do your job.

Kevin O'Conner and Chris Vernon talked about it at length in a recent podcast. Apparently TT just keeps going out and partying, breaking protocol, etc. and has been setting a bad tone for the younger guys on the team. Sounded like he had been soured realllll quick in there, which is a bummer because Ainge claimed part of why they got him is they thought he'd bring some leadership to a young team.

I thought getting him out of a loser situation like CLE would bring the best out of him but just think he might not have the same kind of fire he had as when he was 23/24, hadn't got paid and was getting motivated by LeBron.

The fact that the Cs went out and got not one but two bench bigs tells me they are looking at a potential buyout. If TT spends more weeks in the Protocol he will essentially be off the team anyways.

:D I have no problem with that - time to force feed R-Will maximum minutes. :D

I'd say most people in the world don't realize that. You're in the minority on this one I think.

Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

I like that Fournier knows how to move without the ball. Seems like nobody on our team knows how to do that. That’s why we’re so easy to defend.

For those that don’t know, this was the deal with Orlando I knew yesterday morning that was done. The bigger piece was with Gordon involved that the Nuggets overbid Ainge on. I referred to this on the last thread that got locked (see page 35) I believe.

Evan is a good player. Not the big name player that we wanted but Ainge didn’t stand still for a change.

I’m happy with this addition. Evan had 2 31 point games in the last week. He is the scoring punch we needed. We now have 4 players capable of giving us 20 a night.

I hope he continues to play well in Boston. Also hope Danny is able to resign him.

OMG that's the main thing I noticed!! I started getting worried he wouldn't do that here because no one does it much.

I think the only one that moves without the ball is Nesmith. Like someone else has mentioned, at the very least Fournier will be a good mentor for Aaron.

Isn't that a travel? I feel like that's what we've been teaching our guys.

Well he can shoot. It's up to the team to actually share the ball AKA Jaylen and Tatum..

You act like both are blackholes lol. They can pass if surrounded by actual NBA caliber players and shooters. Fournier will help tremendously to space the floor and take attention off of the two of them

Hopefully now we will see less on Semi on the court and a about 2-3 minutes less a game from Smart, Brown and Tatum so they can be fresh and focus more on the defensive end. I want to see Smart shoot less and focus more on passing and defense.

Fournier give a scoring option we didn't have outside of Tatum, Kemba and JB. Kemba hasn't really been Kemba so far.

That really has nothing to do with being a willing passer. Harden can go to the Nets have Kyrie and KD out and drop 10-15 dimes because he is a willing and good passer and can actually break down defenses. Tatum and Jaylen have been playing selfish nearly all year not even looking for teammates and often settling for terrible shots. They always think they have the best match up. Their stats so far this year are volume stats and not super impressive.

Magic fan here:

i) What are the two SRPs? Is it 2021 and 2022?
ii) What did the Magic additionally acquire by shifting the trade from the TPE to Jeff Teague (this is marginally worse for the Magic cap-wise)? For example, did Boston add Cash-considerations for the Magic to absorb (and then waive) Teague?

i) 2027 BOS 2nd; Lesser of 2025 BOS 2nd and 2025 MEM 2nd
ii) I don't think there was cash considetations.

Welcome.

Like him much more than Gordon.

We got a guy who averages almost 20 points and shoots 40% from three for a couple of 2nd rounders and people don't like the deal...

Again, he averages almost 20 points, that is a massive upgrade for our bench...

How many points do Nesmith, Langford, Grant, Semi average combined?

20ppg don't grow on trees. Let's not overthink this, we're lucky to get him.

Can't imagine the backlash here against Ainge had another team got him for the same price

The problem with this trade is it will stunt Semi and Grant Williams potential all Star growth.
