The cast for that show is weird but yet intriguing.

I'm interested to see how they turn Jason Clarke into Jerry West lol. Like you said, non-traditional casting but super intrigued. All of them are very talented.

Hmm I liked it a lot more in the early seasons, though all are solid.

Yea I thought they clearly lost their mojo in the later seasons.

The original Suicide Squad might have been the single worst movie I've ever seen in theaters, so, nowhere to go but up.....right?

Finally finished the first three episodes of Invincible on Amazon Prime. If you like the comics, you won't be disappointed. It's incredibly well made and has a good amount of star power lending their voices.

What a fantastic episode of Walking Dead tonight. Two concurrent plots.

1. Darryl's motorcycle breaks down. Fortunately a couple of zombies come along who happen to be carrying the tools he needs. Spoiler alert: He fixes the motorcycle.

2. Carol spends the hour making soup and trying to catch a rat running around the kitchen. Fascinating.

3. A small subplot showing Jerry working in the garden.

That's it. 3 people in the episode. And my synopsis above is more riveting than it actually was.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I love the waking dead, but these episodes have been horrible. I get they they are add ons to last season and aren't intended to move the story at all... but they would have been better off doing nothing and waiting for the final season.

That being said... I'm intrigued by Negans episode/ backstory next week
Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

Finally revisited and got through Homeland after bailing years back. Bravo, Showtime. Never thought they could reinvent after the Brody story arc, but they did an admirable job. Rarely do I enjoy a series finale, but this was one of the good ones.

I didn’t know the walking dead was still a thing. I gave up after they caught Negan.

The first 4 seasons of Walking Dead was some of the most dramatic, ground-breaking television ever made. It's a shame how far it's fallen at this point, and I gave up mid-way through the Negan introduction (no idea which season that was).

Edit: Holy crap, and they're apparently doing an entire spin-off series with Carol/Daryl? Show just needs to end in the worst way.

Yeah they are "ending" the series but continuing it with 2 main characters. Dumb. I prefer Fear the Walking Dead because of Lennie James and Garret Dillahunt.

Saw an ad for season 2 of City on the Hill starting last night on Showtime. I'd never watched season 1 so I jumped into it over the weekend and watched the first 5 episodes. I enjoyed it for the most part. Kevin Bacon plays a good ahole and I like Jonathan Tucker (Boon on Justified) and Aldis Hodge.

Trying to think of how TWD was ground-breaking. Horror show aspiring to be prestige TV?

I like Bo Burnham, but there is really only one correct choice to play Larry Bird.

I think Lost probably deserves the credit for bringing the intersection of prestige aspirations and genre spectacle to the small-screen, but Walking Dead S1 (which I always forget came out before Game of Thrones) had real moments where spectacle and horror felt like they might be lining up with cinematic direction and quality writing in a way we hadn't seen on television. It was fleeting, and I think you could see the framework of a lesser show laid out by the end of that first season.

It's a pretty good show so far
