Kinda itching for a ThankNation thread to monitor the Warriors and Grizzlies for those 2nd rounders. Assuming Grizzlies don’t make the playoffs, that pick will likely be 40-44 and GSW probably 45-50 which could be paired for a pick in 30-35 range. And having a pick in the 30-35 in this draft is basically a late 1st for most drafts

It's gonna take a while for GTJ to settle in and get used to the news scehems and stuff.

They lost depth.

Norm's ultra efficient offense is gonna be really hard to replace this year.

What this means? More losses = better lottery odds.

The Tank rolls on.

Rather just have him tank his own value so we get a discount in RFA

Top 5 in no particular order:

Cade
J Green
Kuminga
Suggs
Mobley

And I'm assuming there will be surprise ones too. Need to get top 5 at least.

I wonder if Scottie Barnes can work his way up the draft boards and make it a 6 player draft since he’s still in the tournament and playing Michigan on Sunday. I’m gonna make sure to watch that game and see how he looks

I personally think there is a drop after the top 5 so getting top 5 would be ideal.

If I had to rank them, it would go like this (just my opinion, this is s debatable)

1) Cade
2) Kuminga
3) Mobley
4) Green
5) Suggs

Doesn't he seem like a mix of Evan Turner and Draymond, but not in a good way?

Jalen Johnson could be considered the 6th player but might have dropped his stock by opting out of the end of the season at Duke.

If the Raptors are in top 15 and he's still around, take him.

Idk about you guys but if the Minny pick lands top 5 and we also land top 5, I'm down to ship out Siakam right away. I think GSW and Minny would both be interested.

KAT wanting out is right around the corner and it puts pressure on the front office to win now. Warriors also need a 3rd option and Siakam would make them a top 5 team if healthy imo, maybe even top 3. If we can get that pick without giving up Siakam then that would be an absolute fleece.

The thought of drafting any 2 from this list would be insane

I would also be on board with this but if we were to do this I’d also like to move Fred for a younger piece as well. That way we could start building around OG, GTJ, and the 2 top 5 picks which would be a very nice young core with a higher ceiling than our current core

Top 15? Fam we’re getting a top 8 pick.

Honestly not sure. I’ve actually never really watched much of him but just seeing he’s currently mocked at 7 in Tankathon he seems to be at a position to work his way up still during the tournament. Technically others could make a rise during workouts too

There's a possibility of them nabbing the #10, beating #9 and the loser of #7/8 to get the #8 seed and lose to Brooklyn in 5. Though if KD is gimpy....

Minnesota/Detroit/Houston/Orlando are all 100% locks to stay ahead of us. OKC will get ahead now that Shai is out.
Washington/Cleveland will almost certainly be ahead too.

That's 7 teams that are actively tanking or just organically suck. The competition for us is staying worse than Sacramento and New Orleans.

Its pretty clear that masai is team TWO. Refusing to get a playable C and trading Norm.

I see a bunch of fake wins on the horizon hopefully it doesn’t derail the tank. But you never know with this team they let Sexton and Garland punk them off the court.

Return to Toronto Raptors
