Where's this from? How does Gobert not even make the list?

Those are Vegas odds Rudy is at +15000 along with a few other players. Pg and Tatum too with the same odds not on that list

Alright, that's very slightly better, though still way too low.

It was Embiids to lose before he went down, now its Jokics to lose. I like Lillard and Doncic as darkhorses, especially Doncic. The Mavs have an easy schedule and he's more than capable of getting really hot and going on a tear. Whether its fair or not, I don't see Harden in the mix because he's got two other stars on his team, and they're not going to give it to Giannis again

Hasn’t missed a game

Lost a ton of depth, 2nd best player in Grant left.

Bigger roster turnover

Lot of injuries to MPJ etc.

Harder conference

His second in command has had 5 games under ten points already this year

Didn’t Durant 4-1 without Harden?

Harden has Irving plus a bad narrative

Giannis has a legit team (Imagine Middleton and co. with Jokic?) Jokic can’t lay duds and win like the last two games or get close for Giannis consecutively lol.
They smoked the 9th placed Pacers without Giannis cmon guys.

Lillard got overlooked last year.

76ers have been on fire without Embiid

Lakers are lottery like Nuggets and Mavs without there Main star (Though Lakers are great defensively like GSW) but James will miss too many games same with Embiid.

Jokic has performed the best/most consistent/downright historic stats you name it for the whole entire year.

Someone mentioned great supporting cast around him? Wait what.

PJ, Rookie, Hartenstein, Green. Lost Craig, Grant, Plum

Barton & MPJ has missed a ton of time, Millsap has been old for over two seasons now and Murray was consistent for about a 12 game stretch or so this year outside of that he can be wildly inconsistent for a scorer that’s facts. Looking at his game logs

5/42 games under 10
7/42 games under even 12 points is very bad when your job is to score.
20/42 games not scoring over 20 when it’s never been easier to score? His game logs aren’t pretty to look at.

Jokic
Clear Gap
Harden
Giannis

Then any of Luka/Lillard/Embiid/James etc.

8 FT's in 142 minutes for Jokic since Lebron went down. Doesn't even matter, NBA gonna need to try even harder if they want someone else to win MVP

Harden's coming for number 2.

And for the 1st time in his career, he has the media behind him.

Jokic’s MVP worth on display tonight. The game was within a possession going into the 4th and Jokic sat out to start the quarter. In the next three minutes the lead ballooned to 9 points and they were forced to put him on prematurely. They are completely lost at times when he isn’t on the court. This team relies on him like no other team relies on one player.

What makes Jokic the MVP this season is how consistently great he's been all year. He hasn't missed a game, and he's only had two bad games out of 45: The first game against the Lakers and against the Hawks, the Nuggets lost both. Otherwise, he's been pretty sensational.

When he plays like this, it puts a lot of pressure on the other candidates, such as Harden and Giannis, to keep up with him.

Harden is supposed to be the greatest scorer of all time but Jokic and 'no skill' Giannis have been averaging more points than him on better efficiency. Giannis is a far better defender and has a better team record while Jokic is a better passer, is shooting better at threes, and neither of them have any HOF teammates to help them. What is the case for Harden lol...

Giannis doesn't have a better team record. Nets are the 2 seed.

Jamal Murray and Chris Paul having the same odds is so stupid I just don’t know where to begin.

That's just to say both have 0 chance. If Maxi Kleber is there likely the same. $1 and you get $250 back. If you think CP3 has a chance, time to put in real $.

Rockets were 3-6 with Harden and 2-6 when he played. You cant handwave away those games like they didnt happen specially in a shorter season

So it is:
Jokic
Giannis
Lillard
Harden.

It's between those 4. Then we have the two injured candidates (lebron and embiid), luka, kawhi etc

Can’t go wrong with any of Jokic, Giannis or Harden. Those are the top 3 and only true candidates for MVP. Embiid should’ve won it but injuries cost him and he’s out. Get out of here with the LeBron MVP nonsense.

On First Take it was amazing how Stephen A. Smith was saying the fact that Harden had to adapt to a new team was why he's MVP along with his consistency (and also praised Lillard's consistency while ignoring Jokic). As if being traded is a good thing in the MVP race
