Since Embiid went down I feel the same.
I would like to see Giannis three peat, but he needs to get the #1 seed, and Milwaukee is currently third.
Jokic is deserving and it shows in the odds because he has a large lead.

I just searched NBA MVP in youtube and watched some small clips from First Take, Jalen Rose, some Fox shows, and stuff.

One thing seems to be very clear, even if Jokic wins, the narrative will be, he only won because Embiid and LeBron went down with injury. Dont get me wrong I thought it was going to be tight between Embiid and Jokic if Embiid stayed healthy. But all along it has seemed like as long as Jokic gets his team to a top 3 seed, he has been the MVP for the majority of the season. The national media really doesnt seem to like the idea of Jokic winning it haha.

About 3 minutes of listening to all that stuff has reminded me why I dont waste any time of my day listening to "the experts".

The media heads just talk in circles. SAS was criticizing James Harden how he was acting in Houston and handled the situation and now he's praising him.

I think this pretty true about harden his narrative right now

If harden didn't quit on his original team and put up the numbers he is putting up now and demanded for a trade the narrative switches and he probably wins the MVP, but Actions have consequences. The writers and voters probably will hold it against him

Jokic's stats are just hilarious
27.2/11.1/8.6/1.6 steals
57%
42.7 %3
87.1 %ft
Almost 3-1 assists/Turnover
Leads almost all advanced stats - PER, win shares, box +/-
Maybe the most efficient season ever?

Harden and his team is running the transaction market. There's no way he will finish with a benevolent narrative. He has to out produce Joker for that MVP crown

Mitchell seems to be making a push to get in this thing.

Donovan Mitchell’s last 6 games:

35 PTS - 2 REB - 7 AST
35 PTS - 5 REB - 6 AST
27 PTS - 6 REB - 7 AST
30 PTS - 6 REB - 6 AST
31 PTS - 5 REB - 6 AST
42 PTS - 4 REB - 6 AST

If he didn’t quit his team would be 7-8th seed right now at best and the voters will be like nahhh winning matters. We have seen that for years.

For a player like Harden voters will always pick something against him. Lowe said that himself. The only time they will give it to him is they run out of excuses in 2018, and after that, it’s “okay u got yours now please go away”.

Plus there is no way he has those stat line in Houston, where he had to do all the scoring plus creation AND not having enough wins. The narratives will again be “winning matters”, “Hardens play does not translate to winning”, “lol just a stat padder”. The realty is, how can you average 10+ asssists playing with a bunch of 33% 3pt shooters? So let’s face it, with some people, in some situation, you just cannot win no matter what you do.

Even the seedings argument is ridiculous (although I get it), Jokic has never played with a second star before. His second and third best players are Murray and Porter and fourth best player is Will Barton (maybe Aaron Gordon now), like that's just a weak cast.

It will be amazing to his face if jokic wins. The only thing that would maybe get SAS over this cultural mental block is Jokic playing for the knicks...maybe

I think that would cause a class 3 irony explosion, too risky, we don't want the blast to affect the Nets after all
