The Pelicans were up 11 on the Nuggets with 7 minutes to go yesterday.

Let's hope the basketball gods don't punish the Mavs for 'lower back management'.

No Porzingis tonight means that it's going to be a grind. Luka still has back problems and is questionable. I would be a bit surprised if he plays.

No matter how you look at it, this is going to be a tough game even with KP and Luka healthy. And since one is not playing and the other one is still injured, i'm not so optimistic.

It's difficult to comment on players being out for medical reasons. But these are important games to possibly still climb above some teams in the standings...

Not that long ago it felt that more often than not, players played through injuries or 'questionable' tags. Nowadays it feels it's much more likely that teams will sit the players.

Resting Luka is more about KP not playing back2backs than anything else. They have known KP is not playing second game, so they have rested Luka, because everything will be on him tonight. The mistake they're doing is not understanding how bad Mavs are without Luka and throwing winnable games away. Result is, instead of 1 loss, they might have 2. On the other hand, if you cannot beat anyone without your best player, you're very likely not doing much in a season like this.

Yep and regardless of the time of the day, no Luka/KP should be a guaranteed loss. So no fun watching knowing that you're going to lose.
