Seems strange unless it's to move Bogi's contract, but then Oladipo is expecting an even bigger payday than Bogi, and can leave if the demand isn't met, Plus Collins' extension if he is kept?

I imagine a lot of teams are in talks with ATL, but it's more from the other teams.
The latest rumor makes more sense than Oladipo or Ball IMHO : trading for Brogdon

Just let our Bogs get his legs back...get Hunter and Dunn up to speed and make a second round run. This is the first year of the Hawks run. Don't rush it for nothing at the cost of better days ahead

Exactly what it should be because people not watching ATL don't even know that Dunn has yet to play, and that Hunter and Bogdanovic did not play more than 20 games with ATL this season.
They all need to play together, and let's see what happens, but they need to take their time, they let Hunter play too many minutes in first comeback game, he should have been more limited. I don't want them to take too much risk on him.

Do we still need to get a backup C ? I would think so for certain matchups
If so, would you prefer to target a bought-out veteran like Drummond (who won't come here), Whiteside, Cousins (who could be perfect if not risky)... or a guy like Dieng/Poirier ?
If no backup C is coming, better not add any player or a backup PF like Otto Porter Jr if cut ?

My top two of the likely buyout candidates for us will be Aldridge and Dieng. I actually want them both and would be willing to buyout Bruno to make it happen. We’d have a great bench if we get one or both of these guys.

I don't see his preferred list, but:
Gorgui Dieng
Potential teams: Lakers, Clippers, Nets, Hornets, Celtics

Dieng can still block some shots and hit the occasional 3-pointer. He doesn’t have value to a Grizzlies team where he’s buried behind better, and some younger, options, but could help several contenders after he was waived on Friday. Dieng is a fallback plan for teams that miss out on Drummond and Aldridge — and if Whiteside doesn’t shake free.

I don't see it happening.
He's been in LA and is expected to sign with the Lakers. I hope it's not accurate but I think it happens.

Hope Schlenk gets one of them. It can help, especially with BOS, CHI, MIA supposed to be better now (unless adding these players is not so easy to do in the middle of the season...)
