Dieng probably ends up in NY now which makes sense. He had some good years with Thibs in Minny

No player is picking Boston, word has spread that this team plays too much selfish ball. Ainge has had plenty of chances to change the culture with this team but is too attached to his guys. Can’t trade Smart, need that two points he currently has vs a dominant OKC....

We are screwed in the middle. Everybody is getting gobbled up on the buy out market.

I don’t think it has anything to do with selfish ball. These players want a chance at an easy ring and teams like the Nets and Lakers offer that. The Celtics are far from it this season. At least half this forum should be happy if Drummond signs elsewhere since I saw so many comments talking about how much he sucks.

LOL, Drummond sucks, but we want him anyway to spite the Lakers. If he sucks, we spite the Lakers by letting him go there. Obviously, he wants a ring.

They definitely need a 3rd center. Timelord and TT give you zero shooting, and frankly minimal offense, which is an issue

Drummond is good at what he does, he just does not do the things Brad wants a C to do but he is one fo the top 3 rebounders in the NBA, his career average is 13.8 rebounds per game. Now he can't shoot from farther then 10 feet but he is a solid shot blocker and can get points off of putbacks. I would much prefer him to TT if we could get him. With that said RW is playing well so why mess with a good thing.

I guess we’ll just have to take the 7”2 Luke “Larry Bird” Kornet.

Not a bad consolation prize.

But if we lose next game and he sucks I’m going to be upset we didn’t get Drummond.

I think the one player who can reign him in is Lebron, though. No chance LeBron lets him take a million crappy shots like he's done for his entire career. He tells Drummond you are here to grab boards and dunk the basketball. If you take a shot from outside 3 feet, you're getting benched. That wouldn't happen here in Boston where the coach would play him 30 minutes and let him do whatever he wants.

You won’t be upset. We’re not going to lose a game until The Green Kornet retires.

How can okc just announce they are not playing horford anymore?

Isnt there a rule about playing your best players? Al has been helping them win games and this just seems like blatant tanking

It's because OKC isn't on nationally televised games.

I still think the potential guy who would have the biggest impact for the Celtics as a buyout pickup would be KO.

I'd love to see Kelly back myself rather than Aldridge but I'd be surprised if Miami or LA don't grab him and we end up with Drummond. Maybe I'm just having a bad day.

Not Miami. That would be a pure Gary Payton Rule situation.

Almost my exact thoughts. Dunno about the CBS part though.

You don’t beat NYC and LA, especially contending teams from there. No need to overreact.

For those who were predicting a deal that nobody had predicted -- well, Brad seems to be claiming they acquired Luke Kornet on purpose. :)
