Isaac and Fultz will be 26, our 2021 rookie will be in his third year. If we are lucky and east is still weak maybe 2023 but i wouldnt be so optimistic

For m this narrative discounts the projected growth of Harris, Okeke, and Anthony. And maybe one of Bamba or Hampton gets better.

The 7th and 8th seed in the East is nothing to be proud of. That is especially true with the playin rules.

It’s not hard for a team at or a bit below .500 to make those.

If we do strike gold with our #1 pick and Fultz + Isaac + Cole come back healthy then there is no reason next season isn’t fair game.

That really isn’t special. I want to be contenders for a deep run. Making the playoffs knowing we will be destroyed in round 1 is not fun.

When will we be Easter Conference Contenders again?? That is my question.

There is so many questions to answer before we can really predict when the team will return to the playoff. I’m thinking 3 years if absolutely everything goes right. Fultz and Issac come back and make star turns, we hit big on the picks we have this summer, our guys in house like Cole, Bamba and Okeke improve, and we have the right coaching/game plan. I’ve got a gut feeling that Steve Clifford probably gets dismissed in the offseason. That’s a shame because he’s done an admirable job with what he’s had with the Magic.

I wouldnt mind a play-in next season or even an outright i seed. Even if its a sweep by BKN. Just remember these arent our old vets.These are new guys and PO experience for them is something else.

I don’t think playoffs next year is out of the question. If Isaac and Fultz come back strong and we get our top pick right we have a solid nucleus and the bar to make the playoffs in the East is super low. I’m gonna say the year after though to be safe.
