2 2nd round picks alone shouldn’t be enough to get into the teens. You’d need to attach Boucher or something like that.

With that said. I like the look of Mitchell. Seems like a Lowry clone

Yeah I feel Boucher would need to be attached. Maybe Flynn could cut it if he finishes out this season strong and shows some promise. Mitchell should be a solid player in the league

Definitely not as good a keeper as Johnson but he's plenty athletic in his own right. He's much more athletic than MCW. Is MCW even a good defender? I haven't seen much outside highlights.

Maybe not as bad as MCW, and he is a very good defender. But a good defender does not mean he is athletic (eg. Lowry), as he may not play above the rim.

Having somewhat a Draymon Green lite defense along with OG and Siakam for switching everyone between 1 - 4 would pretty much shut down most of the teams. VanVleet can play his Box-And-1 lockdown role without switching, and we should generate a bit of fast break with Barnes connecting to Siakam.

Just a correction I meant leaper, but actually I wanna see his combine vertical cause I was just watching some tape of him doing some dunk competition type dunks in high school. He can definitely play above the rim, which is one element of athleticism. He also has great fluidity for a guy that big and that muscular. By contrast look how robotic OG looks like on offense at times.

I agree with you about the sexiness of a switch everything unit of OG, Barnes, and Pascal. Both OG and Barnes have the size to credibly guard most 5s. Either Pascal needs to rediscover his shooting though or Barnes is going to have to improve his (which we are great teaching).

I love Barnes' attitude and aggression on defense. He has a bit of Draymond to him compared to OG who is more quiet like Kawhi. I'm gonna watch some interviews to get an idea of how his makeup and maturity are, since Masai loves that.

If we get jalen Johnson with our pick Boucher could be expandable. Getting both Johnson and Mitchell would be unreal.

Yeah that would be a really solid draft. It’s crazy that Davion actually kinda plays similarly to Donovan Mitchell lol. Not quite as athletic but a better defender

Yeah his movements are very similar to Donovan Mitchell. He’s like the PG version of him. I get a feeling there’ll be guys in the teens that will turn out to be really good players - better than some of the top 5 guys. Never been sold on cade.

Have really been impressed with Mitchell. He’d be a great pickup towards the late teens/end of the first round.

Barnes looks raw offensively. Will be a 2 yr project minimum. Major upside though.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Anyone left on the Suggs wagon? I'd consider taking Jalen Johnson at #5 over him. Actually, some GM might like him to trade up and add an extra 1st pick and now we have 2nd picks to make it more even.

Franz Wagner is so skilled and long. Just no weaknesses that I can see. Really outplayed Barnes on both sides. I think he is high lottery, definitely top ten.

The Suggs wagon should still be wait list only. The kid is a stud.

Extremely raw. He’s an intriguing prospect though. He’d be a gamble for sure.

May have to wait for the combine measurement, my feeling is that his defense and rebounding may not play up to his size, so I will give a pass for him (and Corey Kispert)

Prefer to trade Flynn. Once we drafted Mitchell, he will get no playing time anyway.
I will slot Jalen Johnson at SF and shift OG to SG, but I have Barnes and Bouknight over Jalen Johnson.

VanVleet and Mitchell would be a great duel at PG, even Mitchell comes off the bench, that is a great help for our bench scoring.

I’d prefer to trade Flynn too but you really think Flynn + 2 SRPs will get you Mitchell?

I hope you’re right. That’d be a no brainer

I think if we could move the 2nd round picks to another team to acquire a late 1st then a Flynn + late 1st might do it. Might need to throw in a future 2nd to get it done but if Masai wants Mitchell it’s worth it

yep! defensive potential is unreal. passing on point. scoring on point. boards on point. he'd be a real good get. but we'd need lotto luck at this point to be in contention. whoever gets him is getting a hell of a player.
