Mobley's high hips/high center of gravity and lack of an ability he can rely on offensively deter me. But not as much as Cade's inability to break down a defense and create space for himself. Green doesn't have PG skills but his skinny frame and lack of a calling card like shooting or defense that you'd hope to see from your SG give me pause. Kuminga has a long way to go offensively. Barnes is just so raw as a scorer and he doesn't exactly have jump-off-the-screen athleticism to rely on either. Suggs might be the prospect with the least glaring concerns but he's not as exciting of a selection as the other guys.

yea I think you're tripping here, you're not gonna find many top5s better than this year's. :)

Not everyone has that toughness that Chris Bosh has, he was an underrated rebounder and not afraid to mix it up down low.. Evan has great motor which can really help a team like warrios from day one..

He could be but I believe he needs to add strength (most Rookies do, but Mobley's body type might make it a bit more difficult for him). And while he's an excellent defender in college and will most likely be at least a positive defender in the NBA, his defensive numbers in college are really good but not quite elite (compared to guys like AD and Embiid) – I think we still have to see whether he can be a legitimate defensive anchor or ‘only’ a good defender with some limitations.

Duke4life831 wrote:Offensively I do think he will be more of a jack of all trades and master of none. But with that said, he has a clear natural passing ability for a big, that is huge in today's game (I think even more important than a big that can shoot). I also think he will be very versatile in his scoring ability as well.

Fully agreed here. I love his ability to make passes and the scoring variety he has shown. Still, I don't see the elite trait that will allow him to be a top-tier offensive big. I see him more as a good and versatile offensive player rather than someone who anchors your offense – but we'll have to wait and see how his offense develops, of course.

The best comparison I can come up with would be a super-Bosh.

Mobley doesn't play with the aggression of a sheed

Mobley is >>> Sheed and Bosh as a prospect

He’s got some KG type thing going on.

Mobley will help bring the pf position back. I hope he goes to a team with a C

why? he's an even more of a match up nightmare at C, you put him at C and don't look back.

of course, he can play PF no problem next to another big, because he's that special, but like AD he's better at C than PF in today's NBA (of course AD doesn't like playing C for whatever reason).

I know you are right about today’s NBA. I just think the league will keep evolving and get back to having power forwards again.

The Nugs are an example of how where the league is heading right now. 2 combo forwards. I guess maybe it’s a pipe dream but once you get a c and a of that can switch around and defend all over but can punish teams offensively inside.. isn’t that the next step??

Remember when pf prospects were not nba prospects below 6-10? And dirk and kg and others made the future of pf’s being 7-0? Then skita, Darko and....

You’re prob right that mobleys position looks like C now. But he’s not ready to play center yet. So he will likely play some or most at pf or else not be ready for full time starter yet for a few years anyway

Mobley would be a sick fit next to KAT.

You mean the sheed that cosches needed to beg to try and score, and always was a mediocre rebounder? Sheed passivity and lack of consistent agression was his biggest flaw.
