I'm happy we signed him. He obviously has some weaknesses which are well documented, but he addresses some of the urgent needs with Dwight and Javale no longer on our team. It's looking like an arms race between the Nets and Lakers, and I'm happy we joined the party.

Glad Lakers signed him for nothing else than that the team wanted him. Hoping like most other ver min signings that a reduced role and expectations helps hide their weaknesses.

Man just the relief that he’s gonna give to AD down low alone is already a big win.

Excited for his rebounding and for that lob/low threat he provides. He’s more than a solid rim scorer from what I’ve seen, which is a massive improvement from Dwight/McGee/Gasol.
I’m not sure about the defensive presence he provides. Hopefully he can amp that part of his game up.

Drummond will help the Lakers. Rotation when everyone is healthy:

G - Dennis[34]/Alex[20]
G - Kentavious[26]/Talen[18]/Wes
F - LeBron[34]/Dudz
F - AD[36]/Kuz[27]/Kieff
C - Andre[23]/Trez[22]/Marc

Marc should transition nicely to a mentor role in which he passes players Gatorades and towels as well as high fives. Trez and Andre will man the 5 position until the last 3 minutes in which AD will slide there and LeBron slides to the 4. End of the game lineup should be Dennis, Alex, Kentavious, King and AD.

I would go on two separate paths

Wait until the buyout deadline
- Otto Porter might get bought out and could be used in spots, and I do mean spots because he is so injury prone
- Someone of great talent may shock you and ask to be bought out like Wall and others

Sign Jones and develop him on the bench
- Marc, Trez, AD, Drummond, Kieff should be a great teacher for him along with Handy in practice and he be kept for cheap for next year so you keep a big body as insurance and don’t have to worry about an insurance big
- Release both of our 2 way guys and find two wings/guards to develop like Caruso and THT were developed

I know some will say sign Bradley, but to be frank **** him

Good to have Drummond. His rebounding is what I look forward to. 2 ADs in the front court will be tough.

Andre Drummond gives us powerful, anchor-point skills on both ends of the court,” Rob Pelinka said. “We feel extremely fortunate to add a player of his caliber and magnitude to our core group at this stage of our journey to defend the NBA title.”

Vogel was asked if he had any conversation with Gasol and Harrell about the Lakers looking to sign another center. “Yeah, we always make sure we overdo communication and be respectful to our players and let them know where we are coming from with everything that we do,” Vogel said. “That is the case in this situation, and we’ll keep the nature of those conversations private. But for sure we’re making sure we’re overcommunicating.”

No one because you are going to get Bron, Kuzma, KCP, and Dennis all playing high minutes

I think teams are going to wait until after the post season deadline to buyout the remaining decent players...
Guys like Ben McLemore and Otto Porter may not actually hit the market in time for us to grab one of them... But if they do, those would be my picks... I don't trust Rivers, but he'd be on the list too if he was still available after those guys...

Wonder what guys like Gerald Green, Dion Waiters, Shaquille Harrison, etc have in the tank?

I'm ok with Rivers. He's a more realistic target at this point. And it will be fun to beat Doc and the Sixers in the finals while Austin is having a great game all through out the series.

I heard Andre is the worst finisher around the rim for a center and is got less than mediocre defensive numbers. I don't know but I just heard.

Ya... watching his highlights on the Cavs, his role was similar to AD. Working a lot from the perimeter and not playing like a conventional big. He's got some nice agility and above average handles, but takes a lot of difficult, fading away, shots around the rim. Very similar way of attacking the basket as AD, just obviously nowhere near as talented and good at finishing. His game will have to adapt or else the offense will just be a lot of difficult forced shots by the Lakers' frontcourt.

I have a high oddser for you, Big Game. :meditate: :meditate: Reddick hasn’t reported to the Mavs yet. He is pissed about the trade. Hoping he refuses to show and gets bought out. Not sure what the rules say(!) but it would seem too good to even be possible. In other words, par for the course for Robber Pelinka.

I have no clue how Birds rights work, FA etc. gonna admit that.

But is there any realistic way we can trade for Zach Lavine?

I mean/ Kuz/Schroder/KCP + pics surely we can work something out for a shooter like Lavine?
