I watched the highlights of him here. Green is a very different kind of explosive IMO. Green is in a league of his own for this class in terms of raw athleticism. As we all know, that alone does not make a good basketball player. Green needs work but we saw growth in the G-league. Hence he is a top 3-5 pick.

I need to see more of Johnson but what little I have seen does not have me thinking he should be compared to Green. He would be a disappointing consolation prize. I would go for Moody before him.
I would probably draft Moody with the 6th pick, if that's where we end up, and then try to get Johnson with the Bulls pick. Johnson will likely be in the top 10 and out of our range tho.

You think the Bulls pick is “likely” to fall past the top 10?

I would disagree. It absolutely could but given where it is now and how tough their remaining schedule is I would not label anything as “likely” just yet.
It's probably more likely to be around 12. It's possible Johnson is available there, but I think he climbs up to the 7-9 range.

( BTW there are 2 johnsons in the lotto so clarify Keon otherwise some might think of Jalen Johnsons lol )

Bouknight is willing to bang and get dirty down low and drives more. 3pt range %, im not sure butr are they equal?
Yeah I meant Keon. I'm not a fan of Jalen Johnson and could see him falling to the late first round.

Keyontae Johnson's stock is already going up again. Looks like he won't be there for our 2nd. Oh well. Keon seems like he might drop or be 6th pick. This draft is going to be pretty fun to watch.

Im not sure we should double down on small guards. With our top pick it should be BPA. The 2nd pick could be safer compliment to the roster or specialist.
If its Cade then his ability to play 2/3 allows us to take another guard without them fighting for pt.
If its Greens or Suggs we are probably best served getting a bigger SF or wing like Wagner or Kispert.
At 4 we would have to take Mobley if for some crazy reason hes there. They we could shoot for Bouknight or K.Johnson.
Kuminga at 5 is super talented but raw and young. With the 2nd pick i would target shooting.
After 5 all bets are off.

This may be blasphemous but I kinda like the C from Turkey with a 12-20 range. Hes got alot of skill.

I think Keon Johnson has as much bounce as Jalen Green.

After this season but just before the draft, we should have threads like :

" What is the difference between Keon and J Green?"
" What is the difference between Moody and Bouknigh? "

Might make an interesting topic for discussion so we might see strengths and weaknesses we didn't notice before for each potetnial future MAgician

Im not sure how close they are but green checks all boxes of quick-twitch, vert, creativity and he can be graceful. He also shows advanced iso moves when scoring. He will not hesitate to posterize a big either.

A little funky on his 3pt shot and not so tight in ball handling but those can be worked on.

Beal sitting out for Washington. They probably want to get lower than us.

He got hurt last game so I’m not so sure about that and was playing through a hurt foot. Them having Thomas Bryant out for the year have really hurt them however.

Good thing they wont be able to stop Westbrook from going all out. Hopefully he wins some for them.

Im worried about TOR... they look like a team trying to do the stealth tank move. You think they can catch up to the top5?

Our 2 recent wins now appear utterly stupid when the players and front office was already moving for the rebuild.

We'll see. Those 2 wins could be helpful in putting us with the right odds for what happens on 6/22 or they could be detrimental to our rebuild. We find out in a few months.

I think they can. They veterans could get together and make a plan to do it.

Barnes and Moody’s draft stock taking a big hit this tournament but those are still the two guys I want most with the Magic’s two picks.

To me, the draft comes down to which of Suggs, Cade, or Green is good enough to help shape an identity for the rest of this Magic roster. They each bring something completely different to the table.

Definitely ready to have a top tier wing for once in what feels like forever.
