Has he ever had any known cardiac issues? This is curious. Does everyone need to be cleared by cardiac specialists these days?

I'm sure every player has to pass a physical and he's coming out of COVID protocol. Probably standard stuff.

I'm not sure if everybody in the protocols goes through it, but certainly everybody that comes back from a positive test has to get cleared. Tatum had to have a cardiac screening as well.

Here is a paragraph from The Athletic. It was in an article discussing Tatum after he described his problems with fatigue.

The prolonged symptoms add another layer to that conversation, but Gonsenhauser said there has been no evidence that intense exercise could potentially lead to any worsening effects. Tatum, like all NBA players who have recovered from COVID-19, was required to undergo cardiac screening before his return.

I see. Thanks. In my decades of watching the league, I had not before seen specific mention of cardiac screening for players (if they had no history of cardiac issues). Could be something I had just missed for decades, too, lol.

My understanding is:
-- COVID-19 carries the risk of long-term cardio-vascular damage.
-- Therefore, they shut you down from intense exercise while you have the disease.
-- Therefore, they ease you back slowly once you have the cardio-vascular all-clear, so as to protect you from injury.

But the NBA keeps saying almost no NBA players are actually getting COVID these days.

As a teenager, I messed up a toe. Soon thereafter, while favoring it, I slipped on a staircase and sprained the opposite ankle.

Ever since, I've believed gait-changing injuries of any kind increase the risk of further injury. So I'm happy about caution being shown regarding Jaylen's hip, lingering knee, and/or whatever other issues.

I mean, here were I live, you can walk into walmart and get a covid shot regardless of what group you are in. I know I did last week. Nba players SHOULD be able to get it now. They are in a job that has high risk of contamination and spreading across state lines. I'm not sure why they all don't have at least 1 shot by now.

They didn't bring Tatum back slowly like that... I wonder if Langford had it worse.

I appreciate that Stevens is a caring guy, but why is he feeling Romeo's legs?
