It's harder to get a shot off against Wall because he's 3 inches taller than Kemba.

Kemba has always been a defensive liability.

John Wall has never been a defensive liability.

On defense, every Celtic fan knows Kemba always gets picked on.
Opposing teams make a concerted effort to get the ball to whoever Kemba's guarding.

So size alone gives John Wall the advantage on defense.

Every society on this planet has some extent of prejudice. Be it a modern western, a modern eastern, or a traditional society on any continent or island group. All societies are naturally suspicious of outsiders be it a country, kingdom, tribe or clan. Traditional societies in the New Guinea highlands, the Amazon basin, Africa and South Asia, can be as "prejudice" as any other society. Great OT topic btw. How are black people outsiders? We were not only here BEFORE the Spaniards (before the Vikings too), we were on the Niña, Pinta and SM with them! If anyone is an outsider it's Europeans! I wish this wasn't a message board about the Celtics because I really want to go in. Can't have real conversations about anything like this here (not wrong necessarily but annoying)! People are prejudice, that's true and fine but it's when you use that prejudice to harm other people that's the problem!

I honestly don't know why that was the thing you thought to write about in response to that video. W/e, do you!

I didn’t mean outsiders in that way. I'm very sorry. I meant no disrespect.

You didn't need to make a point of saying that.

and you didn't need to post Smart's political statement either. No politics remember?

'Racism is bad' is hardly a political statement.

First off. I didn't post it.
Second of all. Don't backseat Mod.
Third, it isn't a political statement.

Well said. Nothing in there anybody should disagree with.

He doesn't have Jaylen's skillset, so perhaps it's best that he doesn't follow Jaylen's example of diving into particulars that are legitimately controversial. But good job by him of helping raise awareness.

Nor, of course, is what Marcus said anything new.

i don't think stats do any justice here.

wall is going to come off as in inefficient chucker but he's playing on a team that had an nearly 100% MID SEASON roster turnover with a first time coach. walker was eased back into a team that for the most part has played with each other successfully for a couple years.

If wall had kemba's contract, I would be willing to make that swap. I'm not gonna pretend to know how his defense has held up, but i think we all know he's a far better playmaker, and his size would help for switching.

scoring wise, kemba is better but wall is still showing he can attack the rim at will. 30% of his shots are at the rim. Kemba? 10%.

also leads to wall getting a 30% FT rate to 20% from Kemba

that's something we sorely need more of.

It would be very "2021 Celtics" for Romeo to come in, look like the missing piece on the wing for 3-4 games, and then reinjure himself and miss the rest of the year.

Hes offically too good for the NBA. Having him on the court would give the Celtics such an advantage that the League has asked the C's not to play him. They want to keep competitive balance.

Sometimes a post is just a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

(I actually wanted to use that line as a preamble to my dissertation. My advisor wouldn't let me. He did, however, allow a quatrain from Gilbert & Sullivan.)

Well I can assure you that this physics teacher has completely run out of Shakespeare references but if it changes to Newton puns I'm back in a big way.

I'm gonna be serious here, we really need to consider tanking. They are saying this is the best draft in 20 years. We're trash, we aren't good and we aren't competing at a high enough level. Let's just not make the playoffs and get a top 10 pick. This could be a huge asset to a trade or just drafting a high level big man(obviously when I say big I mean 6'8 tops, we don't draft dudes who are above 6'9).
Good assessment:

Best we can finish I guess is about 10th. Unless Tatum goes down with an injury. East at the bottom is brutal everybody tanking hard...
