That Russian slim dude in OK is interesting, he does need to gain 30-40 pounds at least.

He's Serbian. But yeah, he looks like he will break in half just by running.

Yeah he's Serbian, Wouldn't have guessed it, his name screams Russian.
He got handles and soft touch, but very weak physically, and is lost on defense.

Not really, no such Russian surnames. It's actually totally Macedonian but can be found in Serbia as well.

The kid is immensely talented. He is fluid, can shoot, has very good vision and is a talented passer. Physically he is still a few years away from being on NBA level but it will come with time. He will be a beast in 2-3 years and at minimum an All-Star level player during his career. Its very easy to see his talent and he will get plenty of playing time with OKC. For me he is the most interesting prospect in the NBA right now.

It's questionable if Poku will ever have Nba body, but watching him shows how more important is to draft someone, who actually knows how to play basketball instead of someone, who has only good athleticism for college. Being good defender in college means very little and Mavs drafted 2 of those kind.

There are plenty of players with "non NBA" bodies that are successful in the NBA, most notably Durant. KP was even skinier, nowhere near as coordinated or athletic and he now has a 155M contract. Poku is 19, he is 7 feet tall and probably still growing or just stopped growing this year. Its inevitable he will pack on muscle even if he nevers lifts a weight in his life. Its just a natural process. The kid will be fine, OKC just needs to let him play through mistakes and keep developing him. If they ever decide to trade him (which wont happen), the Mavs should be first in line to get him.

I watched few NOP games this year and Melli shot really bad, his positioning was great, the shot were high quality, nothing stood out as bad in his form, yet he still missed them, if it was just a bad luck and he can have shoot consistently in Dallas, especially with the amount of good looks Mavs offense provides, he's a very good option from the bench to backup Maxi.

Melli is very good shooter, but it's difficult to shoot well if you play few minutes per game and have 2 shots.
