I refuse to lol. Ben will always be a reminder of what could have been. If he's hyper aggressive, and doing what he did in December January sure.

When I mentioned Maxey, I knew it was in addition to Thybulle and the picks.

A few extra picks is fine with me. Look what Brooklyn did. None of what I said about the outcome of that trade isn't true. That's really the bottom line. Harden is a generational talent. You have to overpay for player of that ilk. This one actually wanted to come here as opposed to Kawhi.

Lol you guys are hilariously fine with mediocrity. I'd like to see an actual plan to get us out of this hole, that is not better than moving heaven and earth for James Harden.

I know being top 2-3 in the East ain’t much, but I have not yet reach the stage where I have to act like you. I’d probably act like you if we are the Pistons or something.

Did any of us really expected to beat any of Clippers Nuggets without Embiid, Hill and another C?

And regarding Harden Simmons, lol at those who did not want Harden on that team instead of Simmons.

I was pleasantly surprised with our record. The problem is we have no room for error. Our defense has to always be on. Defense comes and goes. Even with the best defenders. Offense is always consistent. Far more consistent than defense. Hence the hedge to rely on Ben, when we really only have 1 elite offensive contributor, and another player who is average at best in the playoffs was an interesting move. Again, we had the formula 2 years ago, so this is not on Morey. But the philosophy about Ben being an elite swiss army knife is tired. That's a third star type of player. Which Ben is elite at. I don't blame him for not being a better player. But I blame management for not realizing that and cashing out when appropriate to get a better fit with Embiid. We did well on this road trip, but now we're getting tired. Why, because defense is hard to travel with. Harden would have carried this team when Embiid was out. Tobi and Danny Green did a great job, but it's not sustainable.

We get hot on offense this year too. It’s just today is showing that against a locked in team defensively we don’t have a perimeter threat to settle down the offense. Same problem as last few years except when we had Jimmy.

You need a huge offensive offset that’s more valuable anyway to our defensive core.

I’d always trade 2nd for third always. Didn’t think Harden was ever coming here anyway.

I mean if you’re not first your last honestly. Getting a ring should really be all that matters imo. That said, I’m not ready to completely give up on the possibility that we can get one. Vegas recently had us I think somewhere in the 5-7% chance this year and that’s not nothing. Maybe the nets break apart in two years and our core is going strong and our odds are better. Or Harden tears an ACL next week. Never know.

Offense will be way better with Embiid, but yeah I agree. At the start of this road trip we were hitting everything. Especially Tobi and Danny Green. Green is not this good, he goes through streaks. He literally won us a few games recently.

Cleveland is going to carve us up.

I got time today.

It’s not about not caring if the team wins a chip it’s about context and being realistic for once. Bryan and Co spent the last few years burning through assets in the name of winning it all and it didn’t work. Then Brand decided to pivot to his bull big mana r us plan and we are done. You don’t fix that in one season. And you don’t keep going all in every trade with The Who cares about the future mindset. James Harden is great and would have made us a better team but unlike The Nets we don’t have Kyrie and KD and New York as a selling point. Love Jo but dude is currently out with an injury freak or not. There is a good chance that we are sitting here next year with Harden looking to move on while we are sitting with the dumb face on. Or we could be sitting pretty. I do not understand getting mad about something that has not happened yet or something that may never had a chance to happen in the first place.

It’s not about being satisfied with mediocrity or being a sad boi and going oh well we will never win anyway. It’s about reading the room and giving things time to breathe for once. We have been rushing and it has not worked out. Yeah Ben is probably at his peak and may need to be moved but so far I believe in Morey with his plan to not mortgage the future for a slight increase.

As stated this is the reset year. Embiid and Tobias untucked themselves and Ben briefly did. Team has more spacing and normally is way more fun to watch. None of us expected us to be this good this year and even if it ends in us getting Thanosd by the Nets... it’s nothing to constantly be in chicken little mode over prememptively IMO

But do you I guess

Yeah time to breath doesn't work on a team with Embiid playing on borrowed time. The Nets if healthy will rule the league for the next 2 years minimum. We have to just hope Jo is around and still playing at this level at that time. If he is, then statistically we were lucky. I get that people think I'm overreacting. It's just such little room for error on this team, that could be easily corrected with another offensive bell weather. Ben excels as someone who does the little things. Those little things also go with elite intensity. That's hard to bring every game, and it is not nearly as effective if everything else isn't in sync.

It will hurt you a lot if you will continue to think Simmons +++ for Harden was in the table.
For me, it never was. It’s no coincidence that all of the media talking about bad value for Rockets in Harden trade. Rafael Stone was even forced to save his and Freditta’s face in recent interview saying he would do that trade 100 times again and his boss had nothing to do with it. Yeah, right. What else is he supposed to say lol.
Freditta is not worried about winning and losing. He is only worried of being the man.

Harden was never going to be a Sixer.
We need to move on.
One thing to do so is get a shot creator (McCollum/Beal/Brogdon) using Maxey, picks, swaps while keeping Embiid Harris Simmons Milton Thybulle
