Worked out real well for the mavs a few years ago while we played hard and won meaningless games at the end..... The got 5th pick, we got 6th.... They got luka we got no bamba

I was always a.tank pro cause i saw no hope for what we were building believe me. Now im eager to try to win and make these young core competitive as much as they can..i totally get you and i understand cause ive been thwre literally for.9 years. Salute you bud!

Toronto isn't the best example....they drafted well and they were able to attract a BIG TIME free agent...two things we haven't shown any ability to do in the past decade or so

Lowry? Bit time free agent? They did great at draft ofcourse have they got a high pick? No they didnt. They build up their young core and stuck with it. Is Miami a good example? They reached the finals, no high picks, just adding butler cause he liked heats culture. Im not saying this core is going to be great and contender level. But winning games will increase their and the teams value, and i have high hopes for the next season

WAY better for the development of this team to let him rot on the bench and watch MCW........

You're talking out of both sides here.

On one hand you are upset they won a game you thought they shouldn't have for tanking purposes.

But on the other hand you're upset that a guy who was 1-8 from the floor in the first 46 minutes of the game and also missed a pair of free throws that almost cost them the game beyond just generally being a disaster all night offensively in MCW was the guy who was out there?

If Hampton was out there and did *better* than MCW, the Magic may have won even easier and you'd still be upset.

So really it seems your argument is that Hampton should have been out there to ensure the loss because he would have done worse than MCW did. But ultimately that seems counterproductive to your other argument that Hampton needed to be out there because it would have been good for his positive development.

See how this goes around and around.

MCW had 9 assist, no turnovers, 7 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks... he was a team high +15. Rookie Hampton going to play harder and control the team better than MCW did? Doubt.

Stupid tweet by Robbins. The only reason they are in the game in the first place playing the roles that they are is because we are "tanking".

I blame Martins for this win. Clifford should go Tonya Harding on each player before he subs them in. This is really pathetic fandom...they are going to win sometimes. They dumped all of the good players who aren't injured. Now this lineup of Ross, Birch, and OPJ is too "stacked" to be playing? Just stop watching. :nonono:

The Phoenix win was egregiously worse than this one given the circumstances.

I am definitely not mad about the way we won this game. Young guys coming up big and growing fast. Wasn't another Dwayne Bacon special. This definitely doesn't feel the same as the prior rebuilds.

I can understand worry from fans because while people can say "stop complaining. it didn't change our spot in the lotto odds" it definitely showed me that we are going to win more games than I initially expected/hoped after the trade deadline. I am actually trying to get myself out of expecting a top 5 pick at this point because this team is probably not gonna lose to the teams below it and will beat a few better teams.

It is what it is at this point. Really gonna try to enjoy Chuma the rest of the way!

We played 11 guys last night, that's too much. It has to be a 9 man rotation. Randle and Ennis or MCW has to come out. Okeke, Bacon, Hampton, Porter, Wendell, Bamba must be part of the 9 man rotation.

We held the Lakers to 41.5% and Clippers to 41.6%. If we keep that up we'll win a bunch of games.

We're up to 17th in defense, not sure where we were before the trade. Obviously the defense looks like it could be top 10 now.

One may argue that trading away our perennial losers for hard working defenders made us a better team. Quit obsessing over having a slightly better chance at a single "prospect". Enjoy when your young team wins and let the chips fall where they may. Okeke's been looking like a stud lately, and I'll enjoy watching WCJ and Bamba hopefully grow as our center tandem this year. Next year throw in Harris, Fultz, and Isaac and this is looking like a fun team.

Sure, if history repeats itself. Over here in the real world the best percentage to get a top pick means losing more. No team should be saying "let's try to get the 7th worst record this year because I feel the lotto balls are going to hit for the 7th worst record this year". Replay that lotto 100 times and the Dallas spot will be higher than the Sac spot an overwhelming majority of the time.
