Teams are going to sit stars and aging vets vs us later in the year and Cliff is going to coach the team to win. Guarantee we win 2-3 more wtf games because of this. I am fine with that as long as it’s not MCScrubb and Bacon leading the charge.

A top 4 pick and a pick 10-15 is still very valuable for Orlando. Just have to hope the lottery balls fall kindly to us after being 1 spot away for soo many years.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

But winning games will increase their and the teams value, and i have high hopes for the next season

k. Leonard...they don't win without him

Leonard was traded to the Raptors, not a FA signing.

you know what my bad....what i said still holds firm though...we haven't drafted well and can't attract free agents

I was afraid we may pull this off, the Clippers were on a back to back and this was their 5th game in 7 days. But credit to Cifford and the players, the team is playing hard and is very well organised on D, and they will probably pull off a few victories like this despite the limited offensive talent. Chuma looks impressive and Carter Jr. was great defensively.

The bench reaction to the MCW breakaway also got to me. It's tough to be upset at this. Players are never going to play to lose. I'm still disappointed by the outcome, but pretty happy for the players. Hopefully those good vibes throughout the team maintain.

With this win, Orlando is 1 game below the 5th worst team and 2 1/2 games better than the 3rd worst.

I totally agree.

Orlando is on the road and never led the game for the first 47 minutes (Orlando first lead was with 1:10 left in the game!).

Orlando spotted the Clippers the first 12 points. Meaning the Magic outscored the Clippers 103 - 84 from that start.

The Magic had this depth chart:
Carter-Williams/Randle
Bacon/Hampton
Ennis/Ross
Okeke/Porter
Birch/Bamba/Carter

There is nothing more management and the coach can do to tank. Orlando has a scrub roster and coach did not start his best players (indeed Orlando gave up an 0-12 start with the starters on the court). The players play with pride. The Magicians are not going to intentionally lose games. No way and no how.

Wins are going to happen tanking or no. In this case it's good for the young guys to get wins once in awhile and great to see them playing together and for each other that's going to mean a lot going forward if they can do that.

Someone also said that we have not held an opponent under 100 two games in a row all season. The two came together for the ultimate tank breaking jinx. We do have to be more careful.

I'm happy these guys managed to get the win against contender based on hustle and defense. Let's face it, this would not happen if Clippers roster was more complete and this roster is not winning many more games.Win would hurt our tank more if it was against Cleveland, Washington or Toronto.

Coach Hill said this 100% correctly - "When you are out there playing, you are worried about your own job and not worried about losing a game on purpose and purposely playing like **** only for someone to come in and take your job away from you."

For those upset about winning a game.... go put your head in the sand.

You talk about tank-breaking jinx? What about that line somebody said that we lost to the Clips 14 straight times before last game? This is one really weird win. Like the stars aligned just for this.

I'm calling it now, this is gonna be a repeat of the last Vogel year. We should have fired his ass when we knew we were tanking, this extra meaningless wins just mean we will most likely be 1 spot away from the 1 player we really wanted...AGAINN!!!!!

We're up to 17th in defense, not sure where we were before the trade. Obviously the defense looks like it could be top 10 now.

Held? Lakers missed a bunch of open shots, and we’re without James and Davis, and the Clips played uninterested, lazy, basketball and we’re still beating us. I wouldn’t say we really held either team.

Anyway, it’s not the job of the coach or players to lose games. It’s idiotic to think Cliff is going to throw a game. You win some you lose some but the players have to maintain that winning attitude, play hard, and try to win games. They’re going to lose a lot of games bow that teams know they can’t just sleep walk against us. As teams get used to seeing Okeke they’re going to start game planning for him as well as how we play.

2nd half vs Clippers was like PO intensity on our side. MCW wrecked havoc on defense. We played with four 6-5 - 6-8 longarmed wings out there & with Carter Jr a Center who could help out til the 3P line. This team is much better on defense now. Even as a Vuc and / or Evan fan this shoudnt be a surprise. We are just much more mobile & athletic on defense now. The intensity wont be so high in every game but those guys are all high energy, high motor player & even young guys like Carter Jr. & Chuma are high IQ defenders.

This team is gonna be outtalented & outscored but not outhustled over the rest of the season.

Too many hot takes.
Clippers on back to back, 3 starters out.
Both Lakers and Clippers took us as a joke and had no desire to be there.
