Based on what I know about Rapaport, it is kinda sus that he'd hold onto this diatribe from KD since December and release it now as the playoffs are approaching and his Knicks are in the thick of things.

I honestly wouldn't put it above Rapaport to try and mess with the Nets this way.

What KD said though was way inappropriate and should be dealt with by the league and by his team. Its just curious that its seeing the light of day 3 months later.

All this could have been avoided if KD has just stopped using social media as his therapist. I’m sure he’s been told over the years to tone it down as a marketable athlete in his prime, but he refuses to listen. It’s clear he is extremely emotionally sensitive and has a host of other issues that he needs to resolve, along with some maturing to do as a person. It seems like, as an alpha male star, he’s only ever been surrounded by sycophants.

Rapaport on the other hand is POS himself. A couple of grown men acting like children.

Not to speak for Duff but Rapaport is a free agent. He has no sponsorship deals. KD is representing a multi-billion dollar entity known as the NBA. As much as we like to think that these guys are their own people and are free to say whatever they want, they aren't. They are employees of the NBA as much as we are employees of whoever we work for and if I had said something that crass and vulgar and it went public, I'd fully expect some sort of repercussion from my place of work. There's also the added wrinkle of having millions of dollars tied to NBA players through their sponsorship deals.

What Rapaport said to KD isn't ok either. Both sides come off looking like childish a-holes. You would have hoped one of them (possibly KD who has a lot more to lose than Rapaport) would have taken the high road somewhere along the line.
