If we land at #4 I’m comfortable. #5 gets a bit scary if we feel it’s Cade/Suggs/Green or Bust.

If that is the case, recent draft history has shown me we have to get our guy. So I’m fine packaging the Chicago pick to move up just a spot or two.

I’m hoping it’s not us. The more I see of Suggs the more I’m hoping he’s the pick.

Obviously it would be nice to not have to include the Bulls pick and make another selection.

The thought of Suggs + Mr. Smooth-Shot Chuma is pretty appealing, I do agree.

It would definitely be nice to hang onto the Chicago pick and add a another prospect.

I think we're good if it's Green, Suggs, or Cade. Kuminga could be the best player in the draft in a few years but it's a crapshoot. Mobley could be amazing too but we all don't want another big. We need guards and wings.

Suggs for me is the most consistent threat for a triple double of all the top-5 prospects. However, I kinda value 3pt shooting a lot especially clutch shots so I still want Cade. But yeah, Suggs after Cade is a no brainer for me.

I don’t think I could stomach watching ANOTHER iteration of spending a lotto pick on a development big. Especially after just spending one on Bamba and acquiring WCjr.

You ALWAYS take BPA but I think we’re solid moving forward with Mo and WCJ. I hope we’re not at 5 and Mobley is on the board...

In a draft that’s so top heavy at the guard position, which the Magic have not had a star player since T-Mac, and a league that has become more dependent on perimeter threats, the team not tanking is honestly depressing. Having the worst record would virtually guarentee us one of Cade, Green, or Suggs.

If we fall out of the top 5, I think I want Keon Johnson and Davion Mitchell. Mitchell could end up as good as Suggs. It'll be fun if they meet in the final game.

Mitchell and Chuma were both freshmen at Auburn the same year, and both out of Georgia.

If Green, Suggs and Cade are off the board when Magic pick, we are pretty much f***ed.

Barnes, Johnson and Mobley do nothing for me. Barnes is this year's Obbi Toppin. Tweener without any usage in modern nba.

Johnson is one of a billion guards you can find every draft from 30-60. Him flirting with top 10 just means draft is very thin.

Mobley lol... Just don't draft another f***ing center, ok? How many times is too many?

Just go watch Wiseman. That guy has freaking Draymoond Green and Steph Curry make plays for him, yet he still is so underwhealming and that is guy who was allegedly "amazing prospect". There is nothing special about 99,95% of those college centers. Most of them can't even cap up to become Myles Turner, who is nothing special himself

Mobley will probably be gone in those first 3 picks. I don't know why people value big guys so much. Last year I kept hearing how the Hornets wanted to trade the 3rd pick to the Warriors, to draft Wiseman.

My biggest worry is not getting a top 5 pick.

Im starting to shift away from Mobley myself but he is not Wiseman. Mobley might be the best big in the draft since Embiid, he is the the exact big you want in todays NBA. Hes projected to be a great defender who can switch, block shots, defend pick and rolls. He has great feel of the game, very fundamentally sound, can pass really good and is improving as a shooter. Outside of strength, I don't know what his weakness really is. Maybe not being as aggressive? But he is going top 3 in this draft for sure and I will be advocating drafting him if we didnt already have Chuma, Isaac, Mo and Carter Jr and had a glaring need of perimiter scorer

I see Mobley as another better boarding Jaren Jackson Jr. without the jumper

Are we starting to sleep on kuminga? I feel like his name isn't coming up as much any more with the other 4 guys. I woukd hate to take another guy that has a bit of trouble with his shot but he is built like an nba player and has show some intriguing things when he played. I would be ok if we needed up with him.

This is how I habe it for the magic:
Cade
Green( plugs into that sg spot)
Kuminga
Suggs
Mobley
All the other guys lol

This is how I have it as a top 5
Cade
Suggs
Mobley
Kuminga
Green

We really need that top 5 pick in this draft. After top 5 it gets shaky.

Davion Mitchell wears 45 at Baylor, Donovan Mitchell wears 45. They aren't related tho.

The lineups that OKC is playing with leaves no doubt they're tanking. They even picked up up some really bad players at the deadline to play in the SL. We need to do this.

Gotta draft Mobley if he's the one available at 5 though. If he developed a shot, he could play SF. He's pretty mobile and has a good enough handle. As is, he's too slim to play PF/C successfully in the NBA. He's a twig.

Which is pretty remarkable considering they might have a first option in Shai. His growth game wise year by year is incredible. His shooting splits are even more insane. 24, 6, 5 on 51/42/81 as a 22 yr old.

His name deserves to be up with every other Under 25 talent we hear hyped. He’s the reason the Thunder aren’t bottom dwellers so far this season. They’re 9-1 when he scores 30+

Yet they’re still tanking, even with their treasure chest of draft picks over the next decade.

If that doesn’t demonstrate how talented this draft is I don’t know what is. We don’t even have a 1st option in the same sphere as Shai or the amount of picks but alas..

I'm not stressing about lottery luck and here's why.

The Magic have *way* more chips to play this year to move up in the draft if the lotto luck doesn't go their way than they normally do and they should take advantage of it if it comes to that.

They don't even necessarily have to trade up to 1 for Cunningham. If they think Suggs or Green are going to be franchise building block type of players at PG/SG, they could move up to 2 or 3 or even 4 if Mobley ends up going 2 or 3.

They have the 2021 and 2023 Bulls picks to offer. They have the 2025 Nuggets pick to offer. They have Ross to offer. They can take back a terrible contract using the Fournier TPE.

There are plenty of avenues to coming away with the guy they really want that don't involve "oh well we got lucky in the lottery".

Create your own luck.

Exactly, if the ping pong balls don't treat us well, we have good vets, promising youth and a glut of picks at our disposal, all our own picks plus the Chicago and Denver firsts. If they really think someone in the top 3 is the piece we need, I believe they have enough to make a package to get them.

Let's hope for once luck bounces our way!
I still believe in Magic! Welcome to the Franz & Paolo era

What we need to do is 'develop' RJ as a pg for 35+mpg the rest of the way

I think we should put Mane in the SL and let him play 30+mpg. We need our current worst players playing.

Another thing about Chicago is they've only played 45 games. Two other teams have have played 45 and Two have played only 44 for the lowest amount played. That means that Chicago not only has a hard schedule, but they won't have too many nights off.
