As long as MCW and Porter/Harris aren’t dominating the offense and shots, I actually like having them onboard to close the season out and teach the young guys how hard they’ll have to fight to be a competitive team. We just have to hope the offensive limitations of MCW and Bacon hold us back so we’re not too competitive.

The influence of MCW, Porter, Ross and Harris might lead to an extra 3-5 wins over the rest of the season. But if RJ can learn to defend like MCW moving forwards, is it worth it? Especially if you don’t know if +3 or -3 W’s will be the winning lottery ticket or not.

I think WCJ/Bamba and Okeke will have the front court minutes secured by season’s end. I think Cliff will come to trust WCJ/Okeke pretty quickly. They look like they can play a mature game for a young duo. Cliff might even be able to get a successful tandem out of them. Bamba looks like he’s starting to flex what he’s learned over the years. Can we be upset if Okeke and WCJ/Bamba are winning us games? Not really. Just gotta hope for lotto luck, same as the team with the top odds. Let the chips fall where they may.

You forgot to mention the Cavs landing picks #1 and #4 in the same draft right after Lebrons first departure.

It's taken a while but I'm regularly reminding myself just to enjoy the games, enjoy watching the new guys and young guys get minutes and not worry too much about the lottery. At the end of the day, we have 2 shots at a good draft pick this year, and plenty of collateral to try and move up if things don't go our way.

I HOPE we finish with as high odds as possible, and I hope Chicago drops down to 6-8 worst odds. But reality is I can see us winning a decent amount of games with this scrappy team. We have alot of games Vs fellow tanking teams to end the season. If we do win, we'll just have to hope the new flattened lotto odds help us out for once!

At the end of the year, I'd love us to be running something like this, and this lineup will be capable of winning some games:
Cole / MCW
Harris / RJ (Most likely Bacon)
Porter / Ross
Okeke / Birch
WCJ / Bamba

Anybody know who we should be rooting for this TOR vs OKC game?

We know OKC is tanking, think Raps need to get into reach if the playin games to spur them on, we need a gap to open up from top 7-8 in the tank race to the rest, for our own sake!

If OKC wins and Bull lose, the Bulls will fall to 8th worse. Chicago will still be at 10th in the east tho, so they could have a chance at the end of the year to make it to the 8th seed. Toronto or Washington could still catch them.

Chicago only has 2 days off once in the second half and have 7 more B2B.

Houston lost
Raptors lost
Detroit lost

Minessota won

on side note, those buyouts are really making huge difference between better teams. Griffin against bench players on 18-24 mpg is too good.

I was chatting to some friends about that the other day, has this buyout market for past their prime stars to bolster contenders on the cheap always been a thing? Was I just too naive to notice before?

i think last few years it just got ugly.
I mean in past it was just some random bench player that used to be good and was bought out for chance to win a ring. like Tracy on Spurs or Vince Carter at age of 38.

Now, Lamarcus Aldrige averaged 19 ppg last year, 14 ppg this year and he is just bought out because team couldn't find trade suitor? Sounds very wrong to me.

Andre Drummond averaged 17,5 ppg, 13,5 rpg and he joined Lakers .... Yea that's wrong, given guy is 27 years old.

it's not same to add 39 years old Kyle Korver or add 27 years old career starter.

Anyone go to any of the games this year and have advice? Best place to purchase tickets? Looking to go to a game any advice?
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Yeah, it's totally no-sense. NFL doesn't have this kind of BS.

teams didnt go so blantantly into tanking to buy out someone like Drummond who is only 27. Now, if the player isnt in their future plans and is an expiring, they will buy them out, still paying them millions, to get a better draft pick. I honestly believe Philly with their all-in strategy on fielding the worse teams they could for Embiid and Simmons, now other teams arent as embarrassed to follow suit anymore

Bulls coming up short again but Vuc shined per usual. Always said defensively the Bulls are bad and that didn’t change with the trade. Lauri & Vuc on the floor is as a bad as Birch & Vuc on the floor.

Will get very interesting with about 10 games left that’s for sure.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.
