I agree with you in general, but a guard dropped 45 on them, that isn't on Lauri and Vuc.
They were also without LaVine.

on side note, those buyouts are really making huge difference between better teams. Griffin against bench players on 18-24 mpg is too good.

I was chatting to some friends about that the other day, has this buyout market for past their prime stars to bolster contenders on the cheap always been a thing? Was I just too naive to notice before?

teams didnt go so blantantly into tanking to buy out someone like Drummond who is only 27. Now, if the player isnt in their future plans and is an expiring, they will buy them out, still paying them millions, to get a better draft pick.

Yeah, it's good for the original team, for the new team and for the player, but it's totally unfair to the rest of the teams. A team can basically get an all-star that averages 17/13 as a gift by the end of the season. The game needs to be fair.

If a perimeter player stays in front of their player, he doesn't get to the rim.

I didn't watch the whole game, but I saw Booker getting points at the rim. I agree with you tho, they need to get some good defensive guards to mask Vucevic's defense.

its sad. I actually love the activity from both of those guys. Mo still does stuff that take him out of position and he just gets bullied but he’s not chasing blocks anymore, utilizing the pump fake, drive. I can’t say enough about WCJ. Dude can block a shot and get back in position for a rebound. 3pt shot looks good. I think it’s a good C rotation tbh

The game is not allowed to be played that way. You can't hand-check a player and all teams switch on defense which means Vuc is often dropping back in coverage and allowing a guy like Booker to take uncontested 15 foot jumpers (if not 3's).... and if he does try to close the gap, he's too slow and not long enough to recover. You need a JI/AD/Giannis next to a player like Vuc to be successful.
