Jalen is the more polished offensive player for sure. But kuminga has far higher 2 way upside. I’d even argue he has better potential as a passer. On top of being 10 months younger than green or whatever it is.

Think Kawhi vs Bradley Beal. The 2 way player will always be better.

I gotta see more of these kids, but just going off highlights, I think Green's defensive upside is huge. Good length, speed, aggressiveness - he can be a terror on the defensive end. Kuminga is bigger/slower, he's got good measurements but I don't think it's Kawhi level good. If I was to guess who'd be a better defender right now, I think I'd go with Green.

Jalen Green is Zach Lavine 2.0.

Not a bad comparison - I'd take that on the Raptors.

if win the lottery and get #1 I'd be good w trading back anywhere within the top 5 tbh

I'd actually prefer it. I don't think there's much difference between the 5. If you can get a couple 1st in the future and still get one of those 5? you do it imo

I am with you on the Bouknight love. The more you watch his impact with UCONN, the more impressive he is. Elite bounce, creativity, plays with an edge and to think this guy is like 170 lbs now (by my eye test). Wait until he gets into a weight room...

I would think that him and Jalen Johnson are similar in talent level, just different sizes and positions.

I’d try to trade with OKC if they get 1 pick in the top 5 and another in the top 10. Would be completely okay with trading down.

Imagine getting both Kuminga and Bouknight.

Bouk as a scorer is levels ahead in term of ability, hes got an arsenal, elite first step, elite athleticism. The things he's lacking come with playing time and experience. The only thing Jalen has on him is raw size

I actually think Jalen Johnson is ridiculously underrated. His ball handling and playmaking at his size are special

I agree. I can see freshman Keon Johnson being as good as Bouknight with an added year of development.

It's also easier to find a 6'5 player like Bouknight than a 6'9 player like Jalen Johnson.

Last year players that were remotely similar to JJ were:

Lamelo Ball 6'8
Patrick Williams 6'7
Deni Avdija 6'9

Those similar to Bouknight were:

Anthony Edwards 6'5
Kilian Hayes 6'5
Tyrese Haliburton 6'5
Devin Vassell 6'7
Josh Green 6'6
RJ Hampton 6'4

Style-wise not exactly similar but just based on the population distribution, SG is easy to fill.

Maybe he's got Devin Booker shot making but I don't think he makes his teammates better.

If we don't move up I want Bouknight. He's a player I've been eying this year. Dude can create his own shot at will and has that twitch level athleticism that you want in a prime SG.

I’d pass on him reminds me of Aaron Gordon.

For me I think it goes

Cade
Green
Mobley
Suggs
Kuminga
Bouk

I'm thinking we can get 1 superstar potential player and 1 star with our drafting skills, those are my expectations with how good our FO is.

Oooh Aaron Gordon is a good comp. I think that's his floor / likely projection. Ceiling is a rich man's Aaron Gordon with more blocks and steals being 6'9 and potential to shoot better from 3. Just more defensive potential. Gordon's A/T are almost 2, that's great for a forward.

Mostly Bouk, to a lesser extent also Green,

Bouk can't really defend he just looks like he is because he's trying really hard but he's quite bad at it, random scrubs get by him all the time. He also doesn't pass or shoot well. I'm not a fan at all

I wouldn’t be upset if we ended up with him around 7-10. I just hope we get a 2/3 that by year 3 can be the first option or show potential of being our first option. Which is why I want Cade or Green over Mobley as I see Center’s taking longer to be championship quality/effective.

I can see him being a Donovan Mitchell type guard.
