Possible Doc just didn't like the way he handled himself here and didn't care for the guy too much as a professional. At which point a generic text message could have seemed disingenuous.

It happens that European players complain that they didn't get enough playing time in the NBA, but even that is not that common nowadays. But what Poirier did was an extra dick move and of course the newspapers were happy to publish it because otherwise who would have read an article about a guy scoring 0.8 ppg in the NBA...I mean even in my small Croatia that would not have been much of a story, and like this it got even to the American media...
