discouraging to come out with such an awful start vs an awful team after having to continue to gut out lasts econd wins over awful team.
It's frustrating as hell. You keep waiting for them to have learned their lesson, that EVERY TEAM, even the worst teams in NBA, have professional pride and beating the Nets would be a crowning achievement for them, so we have to start these games like it's the 76ers or Bucks and run these scrub teams out of the building.
Yeah i mean its a long season. and theres COVID and then you have everyone wanting to beat us as Villians. So if some awful team surprises us, punches us in the mouth and steals a win thats no big deal...
BUT
-We have struggles with awful teams for like 3 or 4 straight games
-We KNOOOOOW the rockets of all teams would be out for blood
-Nash has said time and time again the past half dozen games we need to take these teams serious and play with urgency
There is no reason why we shouldnt have blown their doors off... and really blown the Wolves doors off. This is not lack of focus they snuck up on us. this is we know its coming and we still didnt show up.
The only encouraging thing for me was to see the fire that Kyrie played with. not even his play just yelling, fist pumping, being vocal, getting his teammates emotionally up. We needed that from the pre tip-off huddle though, not 40 minutes into the game.
Somebody needs to grab these duds early when the game starts and get them up. And I know i get on Nash but call a timeout and chew these guys out a bit. i know your managing egos but you cant be buddy buddy 24/7. Yank the entire 5 man lineup once in a while for your end of bench scrubs to close a quarter.
and for gods sake GET ON THE DAMN REFS AND GET A T. I'm tired of seeing our guys knocked to the floor with no call so consistently.
